A decade ago, fascination meant we saw the building blocks, the reasons why two individuals were attracted to each other even before the first kiss. Now? Let’s strip all that bs and have the two individuals just get together (or just get it on) at the onset whether they have chemistry or not. Even better, ignore viewer negative opinion. It’s all set in stone so deal with it.

The line that began the five-year romantic journey of Robert Jacob Sugden and Aaron Livesy Dingle and we’ve never been the same since.

Those few weeks in 2014 that started them off showed just how well they got on through the banter, the looks and the sparks that flew when they were around each other.

Now, upon reflection, it’s one of my favorite ‘eras’ for them. Sure, we had a third party in the form of a fiancé but the big difference was they allowed time to flesh Chrissie out a bit and show what type of relationship she had with Robert before Aaron came into the picture.

The word I always use is breathe. They allowed the story to breathe as Robert and Aaron were headed for, then started, the affair. It’s been said before, but am still grateful this happened years ago (not later) and we got all the lovely beats to the story.
