And we see the new barrier jacket design. Interesting. I don't think I love the collar around the coat but otherwise pretty fun. Will see how they adapt this design philosophy for Fate. Whenever she appears in this manga anyway lol. And then ofc who knows the anime might do stuff pretty differently. Much to be seen.

Pretty fun

The second one. I've seen this once, I guess when I was 11 or something? Too young to really appreciate it. Is what I would say, although honestly I didn't get much out of it this time either. It's got good stuff, I think Po's arc here is pretty solid if generic, Tigress gets a fair bit to do this time which is fun, and the whole movie looks very nice - special shoutouts going to Shen's factories and the red light they bathe the scenery in. But I don't really think it's all that effective beyond that. Shen and Po don't really have a dynamic worth considering other than the former killing the latter's parents, admittedly not that Po really had any dynamic with Tai Lung but they were enhanced by their dynamics and connections with the people around them. Shen is also like, a real hype moments and aura type character isn't he. He's kind of just ontologically evil, wants to take over China because he deserves to rule. Goat lady sitting and explaining everyone's characters to them doesn't help as well, she's a real Oogway at home sort. I also don't really think Shen's cannons are like, anything really. They feel ineffectual a lot of the time which like they're supposed to be you know they lose to kung fu, but then it just leaves them underwhelming. Plus Shen wants to destroy kung fu but is like frankly a very accomplished fighter in his own right, he doesn't even really lose to Po, like yeah weapon advantage he's a bit of a dirty fighter but like, eh? Having him die to a cannon falling on him also felt anticlimactic, I get that it's a destroyed by the thing he created type of ending but even in that sense it just kinda. Falls on him. Idk man I wasn't vibing with it. Not a bad movie at all but I think after not even having had that much fun with the first movie I was hoping to see improvements in the sequels, and so far we're down. Uncharted territory from here on out though. Is there still hope? Maybe. Although god if I'm already not liking the actual trilogy that much then I wonder how I'll feel about 4 which is apparently the bad one. That'll be fun. We'll find out soon I suppose.
