I sat beside Brielle because I didn't really know a lot of people at her party. To be fair, neither did she. I watched her take in everyone as they moved past us on their travels. I talked with her for awhile too. She is a great listener. Than came the cake. It was the first time she had ever tasted sugar and man, that sugar shot through the bloodstream quicker than a Usain Bolt race. She definitely enjoyed it and I enjoyed being there to see one of her firsts.
