"Could be both. Could be neither. Maybe there's really something in there to be afraid of."
Three possibilities? He must be doing better. The medication helps - he can't get it outside Arkham, he's still running on refills and there's part of him - Two-Face, probably, that wants all of it out of his blood. The drugs bring clarity to a terrible, muddy truth, and he can't just sit idly and watch the water settle. He'll have to look at it again, and it hurts. Too much.
"You've seen more than I have - I know the universe doesn't obey a coin toss. Out of the infinite possibilities, maybe there's something crawling around in the shadows."
He shrugs. He didn't drink this time, the coin decided against it, but he does work on a cigar. Hal makes it look tempting.
But Harvey didn't really know him as Hal, did he? It was like they met in a dream. GL? Spectre? Who cares? The guy played Operation with you.
There's too much to think about in terms of how they know each other, too much to get into now. Even divided, Harvey had only proved that his problem was deeper than two souls welded together. Harvey was delusional. Even without Two-Face, Harvey continued to struggle with instances of reality that didn't align in his mind.
The accumulated trauma had only worsened his condition.
"Kinda pictured you as a more responsible type. Not a... drinking by your fuckin' self in the dark type. That's just making shit awkward."
It felt odd making small talk.
"Is this how you enjoy the land of the living? You do you, I guess."
