the burrito bowl and taco diet
today is thursday. today also marks the 4th day in a row, this week, that i’ve only eaten one meal: lunch.
that meal, though? 1,200 to 1,400 calories of burrito bowl and tacos from either Chipotle or Freebirds. and let me tell you ... eating that many calories when you skip the flour tortillas, sour cream and other high fat / sugary / low nutrition ingredients is difficult.
so, what does it take to get that many calories in a single meal?

the amount of food that you have to eat, when you eat real food and avoid most of the garbage around, is insane. and i ate this way 4 days in a row, this week. i also lost 2lbs this week, because the calorie count was low enough and the food was nutritious enough. it didn’t “stick” with me, because i avoided the worst carbs and gluten.
other than stuffing myself to the limit with these 1 meals, i feel pretty good this week. i haven’t had issues with being hungry, and i am finding that eating a great (healthy) lunch makes it easy to get through the rest of the day / evening.
