My shirt is renovated (cut down oversized sleeves and remade the cuffs) and a new waistcoat is taking shape! Double-breasted waistcoats are often seen worn by smart outdoorsy types in portraiture, and this mustard-coloured wool flannel begged to be something practical-- I may or may not do sleeves depending on much I get done tomorrow and Tuesday, in addition to my traditional Jewish Christmas of Chinese food and a movie. Halloween is done and I'm wearing my coat. Time to get back on the shirt renovation. I was over generous when I cut the sleeves and they were too bulky to fit in the sleeves of my new coat, so I've cut them down. The cuffs were a tad tight, so I've cut new ones and I'm stitching them.
