Nick's clothes don't fit him, that much Kirby figured. He's bigger than her by a lot. So it doesn't matter how he thinks her sundresses and skirts would feel on his skin—he wouldn't be able to wear them. She's too kind to him, honestly.

It starts with Steddie on one of their first dates in Steve's car, where Eddie sees Steve's nail bat under the seat and freaks out, thinking Steve will attack him and the date was a joke, but Steve calms him down.

There is another scene where they are together in bed making out and the lights start flickering and Steve has a panic attack.

There is also a scene where Eddie rants to Wayne about Steve not trusting him with his secrets (they had an argument about it) and Wayne says to him that he is not entitled to know everything about Steve.

And I think the last scene is Chrissy dies as in canon in Eddie's trailer and he runs to Steve, finally understanding what the nightmares were about. I think the author planned to keep rewriting the series from that point, but idk if they decided to stop and erase it (and maybe that's why I can't find it).
