🎵 On the 11th day of Christmas The Junk Food Aisle mocked up for me: Hood Golden Eggnog Kit Kat! 🎶 #12daysofkitkat 😋 I actually had a different mockup already created for today, but plans change when Christmas miracles happen! Last night I had Hood Golden Eggnog delivered right to my door. In Seattle. Via Amazon Fresh. There’s probably only a few of you who understand how amazing this is, so I’ll explain. What is Golden Eggnog though? It’s @hphood brand’s classic eggnog recipe, and in my opinion it is the best eggnog out there. To the point where it’s not even worth drinking any other brands. Finding it on shelves was always a defining moment of the start of the holiday season when I was a kid. Yes it’s just eggnog, but it’s very special to me, and gives me those holiday feels. I grew up in New England, where Hood is based. When I moved to the midwest 15 or so years ago I was gutted to find out that Hood eggnog wasn’t sold there, and I’ve been dreaming of and trying to hunt down Hood Golden Eggnog every holiday season - and mostly failing - ever since. You could even say those yearly hunts are the roots that would eventually lead me to create this page. And then a few years ago it did finally expand to the midwest! There was a glorious year or two where I was finally able to enjoy it before I then moved to the PNW and would continue to strike out again. So it came as a complete shock the other day to see it listed on Amazon Fresh. You know that scene at the end of Ratatouille, when the food critic eats ratatouille and has a flashback to his childhood and remembers how to love again - that was me last night. 😍 As for the mockup that now isn’t going to make the cut, poke @snackcellar for it!
