Made a tentative start on the gearbox...
Made a start on the gearbox, obviously cleaned it up first...

Took a look inside.....
Not sure you can see all that well but all the gears look OK visually, no damage, no teeth missing.
It goes into and out of all gears quite easily, 2,3 and 4 sound very smooth turning it by hand, 1st is a little noisier but I’m no expert that’s for sure.
What I do know though is the main shaft bearings are a bit sloppy (see video)
Mechanical guru Nige says don’t worry about it, the spigot bush in the flywheel will get rid of a lot of that movement... might get away with it, £40 gearbox!
