Mike Shinoda’s new song “Fine” comes out on November 1st 2019.
These trials make us who we are, who we are, we are
We're motivated by the scars that we're made of
These trials make us who we are, who we are, we are
We take our places in the dark
And turn our hearts to the stars

The Promised Neverland’s first episode was good! I was prepared for the edge going in, but I wasn’t prepared for already finding all the characters cute and endearing only 8 minutes into the episode, which sure made the expected twist hurt a bit more. This show didn’t exactly take its time with its edge necessarily, introducing the horror elements in the first episode, though in fairness all the spooky shit happened much later into the episode, and though the first half was largely fun and games there was definitely a creepy atmosphere to the whole thing. In other words, the edge definitely felt earned. And I’m glad they didn’t shy away from showing the child corpse either - I hate when horror feels the need to hold back. Just show the kid’s corpse and be done with it, damn it. I mostly like the visuals but idk sometimes the mouths and eyes felt a bit too close together and it looked kinda weird. Great first episode though - I’ll be happy to keep watching this one.
