Sunday & Monday goodies. Sunday afternoons are the perfect time for homemade pizza! I mean, when isn’t the perfect time for homemade pizza. It always surprises me how hard it is to make a circle with the dough. Gives it character. Mine was ricotta & red onion and B did a weird pizza-calzone hybrid roll up thing with pepperoni inside.

The flu shot (I think, anyway) was wreaking havoc on my energy levels throughout the weekend, but especially Sunday. Yikes. I’ve never had a flu shot before but it really knocked me out. I didn’t feel sick sick, but definitely clammy & sluggish.

Good news: the shot finally wore off in time for the work week to begin. I had another 7 or so calls today, but a few were less intense which made the day a bit easier. Things are piling up on my plate — so much to do. It’s better than boredom. B and I have been toying with the idea of going one-income for a while after my maternity leave. Likely I’ll keep working and he will take a break. I broke down the numbers today and surprisingly I think it’s doable. Seems kinda intimidating, but we’ll see.

This weekend is Halloween and we’re doing zip, which is pretty much on par with the usual. We don’t get trick or treaters. We can’t go anywhere or see people, really. So it’ll just be another day. My hope is that B will have Saturday off and we can start on the nursery. Just have to get through this week first.
