The bed is growing too large Or am I just shrinking? Shrinking into my thoughts and feelings. All alone and nothing but quiet. I’m at home but feeling lost. Locked all the door but not feeling safe. I close my eyes and see one face….yours

Those brown eyes fixated on my face. The same ones I can get lost in. That smile that makes me warm all over. Those lips with the gentlest of kisses. The ones I can’t get enough of. I open my eyes and am alone. All of this is what I miss.

The bed growing uncontrollably. I’m alone and confused. Still lost in the familiar place. Far from being safe. Reality is too much to chew. Wrap my covers tight around me. I close my eyes and see one body….yours.

That chest large enough to lay on. Listening to your heart beat. Arms wrapped around me. Keeping me close and warm. Now I am home and safe. Legs intertwined in knots. Making us one instead of two.
