My mom called me last night to chit chat — a pretty normal occurrence during her weekend cocktail hours. She says her “grandma radar” went off, so she figured she would give a call and see how I’m doing.
I give her the latest: I’m doing fine, just sore and tired and waiting. At my last appointment I was told if my blood pressure remains elevated, the doctors would consider inducing, but not until at least 37 weeks, or Memorial Day weekend. No real updates right now to speak of, and I’d keep her posted for what happens at my upcoming appointment this Thursday.
A half hour after we hung up, B and I get a group text message from his mom. “Is Val in labor?? Just saw her mom’s post on Facebook.” Collective sigh.
After we hung up, my mom posted on Facebook saying that her “grandma radar went off tonight and grandson #2 is coming soon!!” Obviously this is super misleading and made everyone think I’m in labor, so she got lots of “omg, congrats!!!” comments. We texted my MIL back saying I have no idea why she would post that but no updates — not in labor. Meanwhile, my MIL also commented on my mom’s fb post asking if I’m in labor and if my parents are taking care of pep. My mom replies that I’m not in labor, but yes, they’ll be tending to pep’s needs soon!!!! 😑😑😑
Guys. What the hell, right? This reminds me of when I was pregnant with pep and sent my mom and dad a cute preview pic of me and my bump in front of the Christmas tree, and she turned around and posted it on fb in like 60 seconds flat.
Lord, beer me patience.
