So much snow here lately, but that’s what you get when you move to the mountains, huh? Pep is totally loving it. I am too, honestly. It’s snowing as I write this - it looks so white and serene.
Biggest news of late: our NY house finally sold yesterday afternoon. We had presigned documents (thank goodness, because snow) and got a text from our attorney around 4:30pm saying we had officially closed. You know I was on the phone immediately with homeowners insurance, internet service, and electric company to cancel that sh*t.
We went to the house Sunday to resolve some last minute complaints from the buyers’ final walkthrough (a blown lightbulb - hah) and to also say goodbye to the house. It was painful just being back there, but I’m glad to have taken a moment to acknowledge the goodbye. To stand in pep’s first nursery, now empty, and our bedroom where both babies slept with us for their first months, and where our lives also changed forever last august when we realized something wasn’t right with our precious second babe. Very mixed emotions. Overall, I’m glad it’s in the rear view and I’ll be very happy when that check arrives. Time to move forward with life here in PA.
