I think a lot of us have the experience of being teenagers and going "wow, everyone is so stupid for dating others, so much drama, lmao" only to realize you're not special but just aro/ace(-spec).
This person was insisting that the ace flag specifically should be excluded in child-friendly pride events bc it's "exclusively about sex" like ok
It's not called a sexuality because it's not about sex, is it?
And so what? Homosexuality is also exclusively about sex. So is bisexuality? Omnisexual, pansexual, and all the other sexualities too?
Sexual attraction is about sex. Whether or not you have it and for who it's for.
If you want a more child-friendly version, go to a specific pride event made to be all-ages. The world doesn't change for you. You need to find your own spaces.

Um don’t jump me but the three characters I was talking about are Fiyero, Glinda, and Elpheba from Wicked. I know they were written to be alloromantic and allosexual but I just can’t see them that way in my mind ig. It’s just like in a better world they would all three be able to live together and love each other but since I’m so aroace I just can’t view it in a romantic or sexual way?? Idk
Just my opinion though, sorry this wasn’t extremely interesting :,)
