Vermin would be of a fairy lineage, her village was aided by a dragon who deemed himself a god (big daddy) and he offered them his power should they worship him. At first their loyalty was won over by his claims of aiding them, tho in reality he was aiding himself and securing a following to grow his own power. Eventually when bribery wasn't enough he took to violence, eating anyone who dared to oppose him.

With the threat of being devoured the fairies of the village simply continued to follow their new deity and soon their society was nothing but slaves for the dragon.

A small army was created to build up the fairies defenses and to protect the hoard of wealth the dragon seized. Amongst them was Veronica (Vermin) who quickly climbed the ranks to be captain. She was strong and cut throat exactly the type the dragon desired but she is using her position to try and find a means to usurp him. Veronica would be a paladin warrior with her main weapons being dual scimitars.

She's tall for fairy standards but despite her still small size she can pack a lot of weight into her attacks. She also utilizes her wings to boost her speed.

Which is why I'm glad I decided to sneak in the shade for Vertebrae's story. I was wondering what I'd do to include a Pancreas alt into her story or if I even should and boom inspiration in the form of her literal freaking shadow.

Obvi the shade doesn't love Vertebrae like the twins love Vermin nor how Pancreas loves his partner

but it doesn't need too, it can just enjoy being around her and being her loyal companion. Her shadow. Constantly by her side and helping her with her goals just because it enjoys seeing her happy.

but now I'm thinking I may alter it so she's Demiromantic

Cause as I keep mentioning she's her own individual person. Not either of her past minds or a true fusion of them. So realistically she shouldn't fully mirror them in most aspects of her personality.

Mr. Trickster had of course Giggle his SO and favorite person in the world but he also has his circus troupe. A rag-tag team of lesser demons he took under his wing over the years and who over time grew to be his family.

So both minds combined had that demand for family and closeness but Vertebrae being a new thing entirely doesn't have anyone to call her family. And her hunger prevents her from viewing most living creatures as more than just food so she latched on to the next best thing which was those creatures remains.

The magical knowledge of Mr. Trickster still lingers in her mind so she knew raising the remains was possible and Vermin's ability to spawn hybrid creatures was the blueprints for her wanting to mash skeletons together to make something brand new.

When Vertebrae first emerged all she felt was hunger and loneliness so after attempting to make a meal of a deer and realizing she didn't enjoy the taste, (she /can/ eat most fauna but she cannot survive on it alone she needs to eat humans to live) she instead found another use for the carcass and so that's where it all started.

I'm not entirely sure how Vertebrae would react to genuine attempts of others trying to get close to her. Mainly because she currently doesn't see living creatures as anything other than potential food or tools.

She has yet to look someone in the eye and realize 'oh this…is a living creature who I don't want to wait til their dead to care about'

4 foot 9 inches

She's shorter than Vermin's 5'2" but taller than Mr. Trickster's 3'5"

I was originally tempted to make her taller than both (sort've combining heights deal) but I much prefer a smol like gremlin scuttling around

It's also much more comical imo so it helps lend to her clowniness to have her be this evil monstrous creature but also teeny tiny. It's why Mr. Trickster is so small tbh lol I love small villains so much they're like angry chihuahuas ♥

I still haven't designed it cause I have like a billion other projects lmaoooo but likely in her true demon form she'll be much taller, again, similar to Vermin and Mr. Trickster who both have secondary monster forms that are absolute behemoths.

Big Daddy is the only one who rarely uses his anthro form. He doesn't like being 'small' so he just swaggers around on all fours as a massive hulking beast

He's roughly 16ft tall from head to toe and almost 22ft long from nose tip to tail tip

in his anthro form he's about 9 or 10 ft

in a reality where Vermin!Mr. Trickster manages to evade Giggle’s shot she would have fled with her new host. The unique demonic nature of Mr. Trickster’s mind would break Vermin’s code as magic isn’t something she was designed for and with the demon clown fighting back as hard as he can to try and regain control of himself she’d eat more and more of him til he was nearly all gone, replacing the gaps with bits of herself when she could. 

Giggle and Squeaks would still destroy Vermin’s game and she’d completely die off from the web as her main body would be dealing with Mr. Trickster’s mind and wouldn’t be able to do anything to stop the duo. 

As the demon and virus would struggle they’d both lose more and more of themselves and when the fighting finally stops something new would be left. 

Not Mr. Trickster nor Vermin but a new monstrosity with a broken and warped mind.  

That is who Vertebrae is! 

A demon who doesn’t recall her origins but knows she must feed on humans to survive.  She’s able to use shadow magic and can easily summon her shadow hands (her outfit) but struggles with all other forms of demonic magic. She collects bones from offerings and her prey to construct little minions but they’re incredible unstable and usually don’t last longer than a few hours or a day if she’s lucky.  She travels to a space in the shadows where she lives in an abandoned castle, who lived there before or what the space even really is she doesn’t quite understand herself. She stores her failed experiments in jars knowing she’ll get the recipe right one day and bring them all to life as her family. A lingering yearning of both Vermin and Mr. Trickster that is deeply embedded in her.  

In this AU Giggle ends up handing the new ringmaster title to the demon clown Mr. Fortune. Giggle and Squeaks would end up leaving the clown life behind to instead live together in the country. Away from most humans and technology and surrounded by nature especially sun flowers.  While Giggle would want nothing more than to find Mr. Trickster and save him, he told her to keep her distance should they fail. He knew there was a chance of him surviving Vermin’s control but he didn’t want to potentially harm Giggle should he lose. So he made her promise to stay away and he’d find a way to get back to her.  Giggle retains her immortality thanks to a deal Mr. Trickster made with a higher demon and while Squeaks eventually grows older and passes, Giggle remains in their little country cabin home with Puppy the demon dog waiting and hoping her true love comes back to her.

Big Daddy -  A large dragon who came to Emerald city and worked as an unground fighter to earn his keep. He made a name for himself for being the most brutal fighter and quickly rose in the ranks to be top dog. He grew addicted to a magical drug called Corazon de Diablo which is an herb that massively increases libido and pleasure senses. This caused him to be well known throughout Emerald Cities various strip clubs and every hooker in the town knew who he was.  As time went on his addiction to the drug and sex grew more and more and he eventually started buying out the strip clubs to have himself constant access to the girls he fancied.  With the prolonged use of the drug, the fighting and brawling Big Daddy eventually started making a lot of enemies. Those who he out ranked in the fighting arena and those whose business he had taken over. This lead to many attempts on his life in the form of cursed jewelry, which he wears now proudly as a fuck you to those who tried to kill him.  No one is sure how he managed to stay alive with so many cursed items on him but it’s rumored his drug use along with his own dragon magic is providing a safety barrier.  Unlike most dragons Big Daddy doesn’t use his magic much, preferring to use his physical strength. He also doesn’t use weapons when fighting.  He’s a water dragon hybrid though no one knows what his other half is, some say he’s not even full dragon but a hybrid of a more powerful magical creature.  Due to his lack of practice he can barely control small amounts of water.  In the copy of the game Vermin is in Big Daddy’s desires lead him to not only take over Emerald city but all the surrounding cities as well. Fighting and breaking down the bosses of the other regions he’s gained almost full control of his game. Most of his underlings truly despise him and are always looking for ways to usurp him.  He’s a very self centered asshole, with a constant desire to fight or fuck, sometimes both if he finds the right partner. He’s rough and violent with everyone and treats others as play things. He takes what he wants when he wants and doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘no’. He’s a vile creature through and through and he’s not ashamed of it at all. 

King -  A beetle dragon hybrid native to Diamond city. He’s was born into the wealthy family ruling and was raised to be a gentleman. His family is in the healing business and uses the plants that grow in their hometown to create remedies for all sorts of ailments.  King was taught how to identify all types of plants and knows how to properly use all variety of foliage to get any effects he wants with his potions and elixirs. He was also raised how to use a sword and fights expertly with his long sword. King is the most gentle of the games bosses and rarely fights unless absolutely necessary. He was the first to bow down to Big Daddy when the other made a move for his land.  Because of his trustworthy nature he’s the only of Big Daddy’s underlings that he trusts.  King isn’t interested much in the sex side of his game and much prefers to enjoy time with the geishas from his village. Having tea with beautiful women and hearing them play the shamisen is more than enough for him.  He’s also the only of the cast who prefers a monogamous relationship. 

Emperor -  A massive black cobra naga who rules the Sapphire Sands. Emperor is older than Big Daddy but only technically. He was sealed away for hundreds of years in a tomb for destroying his homeland and for his work with dark magic. He was set free when explorers discovered his tomb and released him and he was back to rule his kingdom once again.  The time spent locked away had blackened his soul further and he’s become a cruel violent creature who lashes out at anything and everyone who dares step in his path.  He hoards a massive wealth and guards it with his life, some are insistent the he has to be part dragon due to his greed but he’s not.  He uses his body to wrap up his prey and usually consumes others whole.  While he has massive fangs they’re actually incredibly weak and can shatter easily if he’s not careful which is why he prefers to strangle his foes.  He dons several bits of jewelry that amplify his power over the sand which he uses as a cloaking device to help hide his home from those who would attempt to steal what is his. The sapphires also provide a cooling aura that help him withstand the blazing heat of the desert.  He goes through partners quickly as most tend to find him unbearable and difficult to accommodate. So far he’s only been able to keep Mei Mei the cyclops hare as a partner for any length of time though the two are often butting heads and arguing.  He truly despises Big Daddy and has tried to murder him on more than one occasion. Despite being bested each time he refuses to give in and when the two met it always starts a brawl. 

Her Highness - Royal ruler of the insectoid fairies that live in the Quartz Caves she’s the eldest daughter who took over the throne after killing her mother. She resembles a massive blue wasp and is fierce and cunning. Like all the fairies in Violent Tendencies she has a strong sense of pride in her ability to fight and will take on foes much larger than herself without hesitation. She governs her home with an iron fist and is quick to punish anyone who doesn’t pull their own weight.  Her preferred weapon of choice is a spear tipped with a purple quartz that was dipped in her own venom which amplified it’s toxic properties. She also uses small daggers with similar magic gemstone and toxins depending on the situation.  Her Highness was the second to fall to Big Daddy’s tyranny but did not succumb to him as easily as King. The two brawled for six days straight before Her Highness finally collapsed from exhaustion and kneeled before Big Daddy. While she has her pride she knows when she loses a fight and accepts defeat gracefully.   She like King does not attempt to usurp Big Daddy as she lost to him fair and square and holds respect for the dragon.  She’s graceful but hardworking and rarely indulges in any recreational activities though she says no when offered a drink of mead. She also has a massive sweet tooth and will instantly accept any offerings of honey. 

Mimosa - Cyclops beast ruler of the yet unnamed section of Violent Tendencies.  Don’t have much for her yet just that she’s a BIG woman (9ft tall) and is a cunning trickster who likes to mess with others for fun. She uses illusion magic as do all cyclopes in Violent Tendencies and uses it to her advantage to sneak into places she’s not supposed to be.  She’s got a sweet face but is very quick to turn on people.  She has a great hatred for Big Daddy and has made several attempts on his life over the years.
