I think another thing that gets me about TME/TMA is that it's just so.... redundant. Like if TMA literally just means "Trans women and transfems" then guess what. You can just put in your bio "Trans woman" or "Transfem", and everyone who doesn't have their head up their ass should be able to read that and say "Oh, that means they're the primary target of transmisogyny" because, well, duh!! There's legit no reason to have such a bottle-neck defined acronym in your bio when just using actual, full words would do the job. It's just so redundant.
There's an Ask An Australian reddit where a guy is like "Hey everyone i called my boss 'mate' and he got mad about it and told me to call him Sir instead" --- and as an Australian I was IMMEDIATELY like "sir???? Fucking SIR? He wants you to call him SIR??? absolutely the fuck not, tell him to go fuck himself instead."
And then I scrolled down to the comments and I'm only partway through them but so far every single Australian in there is like "SIR???? He wants you to call him fucking SIR!?!??!" and then follows up with an indignant "yeah he can fuck riiiiiiiight off" or a mocking "wow i didnt know your boss was knighted by the queen herself, make sure you do a bigass fancy bow every time you see him from now on" so anyway yeah as a general rule Australians don't tend to use "sir" very often, BUT, if someone actively tells us to call them sir? Then yeah that guy is either gonna get furiously sworn at or mocked into an early grave.
Ohhhh Faramir in Return of the King Extended Edition we're really in for it now...
