Hi! I saw some reblogs from you about Veilguard and I am kinda unsure what is actually your opinion on it's writing? Like, at the same time you reblogged that "we created the problem and solution is to fire all the veterans" (to my knowledge, writers) and on the other hand you are upset about the game. For me personally, my biggest upset was the story. I could play the gameplay, it's not great but it's fine, but the STORY, oh my god. And it was not like someone forced them to write so terribly.
Hi anon!!!
I honestly have mixed feelings about the game... Like you said, the gameplay is enjoyable (tho I miss Inquisition combat system tbh), but the game falls flat on the writing, especially on some parts. I mostly blame EA greedy hands, they dismantled BioWare from its core and unfortunately it shows.
I still have to finish the story, just a few quests to go... My biggest problem is that you can see what they were trying to do with this game, there were good ideas behind it, yet the game itself is too short to reach all the issues the Thadas is going through.. as I said in another post, the vibes are too light for me to be a end of the world situation 🫠it's a little grotesque imo....
Also, they put sooo much info in a game that it lasts 60 hours mostly?
I still like the game, mind you, I just wish things went different both for the people who worked on this project and the fans...
Sorry if my rambling doesn't make sense
