people have talked about the remount version of America is Great Again plentiful already, but i do find it interesting how jeff described general macnamara as the "true good man" in the hatchetverse, and at the end of the song hes dead
its not like he died in the original. no, he got lightly wounded in the shoulder and walked away. in the remount, emma shot him in the back (heart? would be interesting, considering "the universal truth of love and the strength of the human heart") and he got carried out of the stage in a casket-like formation.
and not gonna lie, it makes sense. hes a soldier who disobeys orders and instead takes instructions from his own moral code of righteousness, love, peace and humanity. he cannot survive in this current climate
its crazy, the things happening rn. comparing the original and the remount, jeff went from looking satisfied and cheeky, the lyrics went from sounding satirical and mocking, to now just feeling scary. its not a joke anymore. things are genuinely THAT bad
