After bringing in the newest bit of scrap metals and other junk, Zhang was contently tinkering in the solitude of his “workshop”, doing what he does best. Making bombs.
But a voice interrupted that silence. “Hm?” He cast a glance to see who it was. It was her. Lynette. Standing in the door way. She looked better since the last time he saw her. And dressed from the looks of it. A top covering up all those nasty scars.
“So Chilong… is it?” She asked. But as he was about to reply a sharp ting, a snikt, made him hold his tongue. He noticed her rubbing her wrist then glints around her fingers. Those claws. They retracted for a moment. “Or is it Jiahao?” The claws sprung again.
For a moment, his eyes went wide. A tool tumble from his hand and clattered to the floor. How does she know that?
“Or is it Zhang? Doesn’t matter.” She shook her head. “Helios trusts you, I trust you. Just don’t delve into my past again and we won’t have problems.” There was full venom in her voice. He swore there was a slight haze appearing around her yet those slats on her arms were close. Then that rhythmic snikt of her claws popping in and out was growing louder. “Got it?” Even more venom as her eyes narrowed on him.
He took a moment to calm himself, to get his mind thinking. Seemed as she cared more about her past than his identities. No hate when mentioning that one name. Just anger he could feel when mentioning the past he knew he accidentally gleaned. He locked eyes with her and nodded. “Got it.” Need friends, not enemies.
Been wanting to color this for awhile. And little scene idea for a future chapter.
Some of her colors are still up in the air but think I have a solid idea for now. Changing a few things about her arms since she shares some mimetic properties with the Ferrojinn a.k.a. shroud. So she can change the color on them at will. Usually sticks to black with those blue shimmers after getting freed. Use to have those ADVENT colors.
Also she would more accurately look like this from ideas I’ve been having on consequences of her being in her shifted form for too long. Beginnings of that fur coat.
