I also have gripes with B2 of LOK, including some of the aspects of "Beginnings" but a) I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as people said at the time and b) I just watched the Wan vs Vaatu fight and it remains one of my favorite fights in the series. Four absolutely spectacular minutes.

#i still get chills and i still love wan and raava's relationship despite being eh about the good vs evil framework #and finding it rather odd to drop the most cosmic threat in the middle of the series rather than building up to it #also as a wan fan i appreciate that vaatu rants about how he was doing his thing before humanity 'crawled out of the mud'#and then wan stuffs him into a tree for ten thousand years :D #also find it interesting that lok's has such great charismatic villains except blah unalaq #*lok #but still! korra is able to go 'what if he wasn't wrong about everything'#even though he was in league with a world ending immortal spirit of chaos and malevolence #also bryke like their magic lasers :P #anghraine babbles #avatar #avatar: the legend of korra #wan #vaatu
