O nome veio de um de seus desenhos favoritos na infância (Historinhas de Dragões), apesar do daemon não ter em nada semelhança com seu homônimo. Pela familiaridade com a morte, o Ord de Layla tem apenas o crânio na cabeça, como se vestisse uma máscara ossuda sobre o enorme rosto. Seus olhos são chamas sempre ardentes em tom violeta, assim como as íris de sua dona, e toda a ossada de seu corpo aparece decalcada nas escamas como se fosse uma pintura sobre a base roxa escura. É uma criatura enorme e assustadora, mas incrivelmente dócil.
