I'm currently getting screens of a lot of the newspapers around town but the fact that this one looks like it says "Gillespie House Fire - arson or accident?"

I SURE WOULD LOVE to read this article to see what the paper has to say about it!

Like unless there's something canon outside of the show I'm missing here I don't get it. You can like Stolas even if he's in the wrong here? I mean even if he turns out to be sincere in his feelings for Blitzo he still acts like a creep and treats him like an object and literally all these characters are scumbags so I don't understand the moral highgrounding when it comes to this particular case

been staring at this message for minutes unsure of where to begin unpacking this. not even sure how this take showed up in my inbox. let's break it down.

1) "they're demons in hell"

true, but that does not mean that these characters are unsympathetic by default. it's a matter of context and framing. some of these characters are better people than others, even if they have a warped morality system seperate from human moral conventions.

2) "stella has every right to hate stolas"

very true! however! she does not have the right to abuse him by throwing things at him, by breaking his possessions/killing his plants, or by calling a hit on him, even if her feelings behind those actions are justified. those things are never okay no matter what. the only time physically hurting your partner should even be thinkable is in the case of self-defense. this is why mrs. mayberry went to hell, which a lot of people seem not to get.

3) "you can like stolas even if he's in the wrong here"

true, but i don't think this situation is black-and-white. stolas is wrong for cheating and stella is wrong for trying to get him killed, but one of these things is ostensibly worse than the other.

4) "stolas is a creep, etc."
