hello! i was wondering if you'd be able to tell me/make a tutorial when you find the time on how to put two container boxes in carrd side by side?
hi there! yes, i can absolutely help you with that! unfortunately, technically, there’s no way to do this in carrd. it only allows you to stack containers vertically. however! you can create the illusion of two containers side by side, and it’s a very simple process!
first off, you’re gonna make a new carrd, start with a blank canvas, and then click the background. select a background colour. make it whatever you want! this is what i’m working with:
when you’ve selected it, copy the hex code. in my case, it’s #FFCFBF.
then you’re gonna click the ‘ + ‘ in the top right bar. select ‘container’ at the bottom of the menu that comes up. when the sidebar pops up, click where it says ‘default’. select ‘columns’ instead.
now select the paintbrush icon at the top of the sidebar and scroll down to where it says ‘background’, then select ‘color’:
the default will be white (#FFFFFF), but you can change it to whatever you’d like. just make sure it’s different than the first background colour you chose!
now just below that it’ll say ‘border’. here, you’re gonna paste that hex code you copied before!
some options will pop up. change yours to look like this:
you’ll have something like this. which looks a little funky, but we’re gonna fix it!
scroll back up in the sidebar, to where it says ‘gutters’. you want to increase this number until it’s about the same size as the white space on the sides. if you’re not changing the width of the page or the container, this will be about 5.375.
now you’ll have this, which looks like two white containers side by side!
you’ll have to play around with different settings depending on what you’re going for, but i hope this helped you with the basic set up! these are some potential results:
if you need any help doing something specific with this set up, just ask and i’ll do my best to help!

hello. how do you add a second font to the same text in your carrd templates? is something exclusive of premium? for example, i'm asking about the text in "mains & exclusives" here : https://endlesswood.tumblr.com/post/683807269307203584/02-carrd-template-royal
hello!! it actually isn't possible to use diff fonts in the same text element on carrd, even with a pro account. the example you mentioned here is actually just the 'code' stylization that you achieve with markdown (the same way you would bolds, italics, etc). anything done in code text has that default, monospace font as well as the rounded corner background. you can do it by using the character around your desired text! ex: `exclusive`.
hi, you absolutely don't have to answer this but would you ever explain how you do it that you can click on an image and it opens another carrd section? i saw it in your carrd templates (like the scarlet witch one), i just dontttt understand how to do that! thank you<3
hi there! so i'm not 100% sure you sent this to the right blog since i don't have a template featuring scarlet witch? but, i'm still happy to answer the question! it's actually super easy. i'm including some screenshots in case anyone needs the visuals for more clarification, so just look under the read more. ♥
for starters, you want to make sure you have at least the basic elements of this laid out on your carrd. in this case, it's an image that you want to be the link to a different section, and then the different section in question. so, click on the + at the top of the screen to add your elements, then select 'image'. repeat, but this time, select 'control'.
you’ll end up with this:
now click on the big grey square, and then the teal button that says ‘upload’. upload your image.
sidenote: you’ll also want to click on the paintbrush, then move the top slider ‘width’ all the way to the right (’auto’).
once you’ve got your image displayed correctly, select the grey bar that says ‘#section1′ that showed up when you added the control element. you’ll see this in the sidebar:
change ‘#section1′ to whatever you want your link to be. since we generally tend to use this to go from the landing page to the navigation page, ‘#nav’ is a good one to use, but you can use anything. note: in this particular step, you don’t need to type the ‘#’ !
x
now click on your image again, and look further down on the sidebar. you’ll see a spot for the url:
here, you’re gonna enter whatever you named the section. for this example, i named the section ‘nav’. so in the url space, i’ll type ‘#nav’.
then you click ‘done’, and that’s it! now when you publish your carrd and open the site, you can click on your image and it’ll lead you to that section. of course, this doesn’t have to be a section that you link to. you can also copy/paste url from your blog, your pinterest, even another carrd site entirely, wherever! i hope that helps, and please feel free to reach out again if you need any extra help!
