logged onto my goodreads for the first time in a LONG while (like years) and um….there is one single book that was added last yr that I DEFINITELY did not read and frankly would never read (it was one of those cozy romance books with canva clip art looking covers). I’m like…did I get hacked and they only added this one book before peacing out or ??

#i deleted it immediately but it was like some lesbian bakery romance that sounds like it should be a fic AU #my problem with 90% of romance books is that like. well I simply don’t care #like I don’t care if these random characters get together ?? and a lot of the time the books don’t MAKE me care either #and any kind of romantic plot and tropey shenanigans i could want to read I can get from fics #and often the quality of a good fic is better than a the average romance novel #romantasy is also often back bc all the focus is on the romance and very little is on the fantasy and it shows #*bad #(usually in the world building / plot)#basically I’ve gotten to the point where I’m like. i don’t read explicitly romantic novels anymore #if I’m reading a book I want a Story not just watching two randos fall in love #if I want to watch characters fall in love I will simply select an AU of my faves and watch them do it for the millionth time #this is not to say I don’t like love and romantic relationships in novels! it just needs to be about MORE than that usually #anyways. why was I (maybe) hacked !! lol

There's an owl outside of my dorm. Idk where, but its loud, so possibly on top of my building. This story doesn't really mean anything, but owls sound exactly like you think they do, unless they're barn owls which scream. This isn't a barn owl tho. Anyways, hope you get to experience the joys of nighttime birds and their sounds.
