"I'm confident he'll be perfectly fine, but if things go wrong in court for him...my father and I already have plans on how to break him out of Aurochs Fort."

"I do not have the right to be there when they are fighting for something that they rightly deserve. Rean? Jusis? Absolutely. Perhaps Mayor Macdowell would disagree and requests me to stay. I don't doubt he will want to speak to me before all is said and done. But the least I can do is do what I should do and exit quietly. Things are so, so turbulent."
She smiled sadly.
"I am a selfish person, Hadrien Traversaeu. I don't deny that. I am leaving Crossbell for selfish reasons... But I still have things I must take care of in the grand scheme of things. For Rufus. And for my village."

I'm just saying the whole 'annexation' motive probably isn't as good as you think it sounds. Of course what we did to Crossbell was bad and they deserve better-- but who the hell gets to say who should and shouldn't stay? Where do you draw the line? Are we just gonna hunt down and deport every single Erebonian from Crossbell because of the 'invasion'? Do we include the people who've already been living there for years? If you believe in Crossbell's right for gaining independence, there's no reason you shouldn't be allowed to stay and support them, because it's your home too. You do have a right to be there, and you do have a right to help fight. I'd only tell you to dip if you instead thought Crossbell should remain an Erebonian province. ...What I'm saying is that ultimately, it doesn't matter if you're Erebonian, or the Governor General's wife, or anything else-- what matters is what you believe in, and what you plan on doing about it. ...And 'staying the fuck out of it' can be that plan too."

Your plans can stay exactly as they are, if that's what you want to do, people move for all kinds of reasons-- and going into hiding after a big scandal is pretty much average noble behavior, so it's not like your choice is totally unheard of.
