The painter invited to take likenesses of the heirs de Fer was obliged to return for another visit when it was discovered the twins, Jacob and Asher, had sat for each other's portraits. At the dowager duchess' insistence, such an inaccurate portrait of Jacob was not to be shown to the marriage market abroad. The eldest sibling Lady Jocelyn is rumoured to have suggested the painter change but a single brush stroke, wait one day, and present the miniatures to her mother again. The artist was paid twice for his trouble.

Sighing as he leaned against a wall, Asher looked over to the familiar girl. "So," He started as he waited for the girl to say something. He didn't know why, but she wasn't answering his question of whether or not they were together. "You know. Instead of sitting around here and waiting for you to finally tell me what the hell we are, I could be out there getting someone else that would be more than willing to be open with what the fuck we are." He muttered in a somewhat harsh tone. He knew he should cool it down, but for the past month or so, he had been nice about it and he was getting sick and tired of not knowing what they were and mostly of people asking what they were.

"You know what anon, I don’t care what you think. What happens between me and Sawyer doesn’t mean shit with you guys. I say what I want, when I want. Do you have a problem with that?"
