I’ve already mentioned how this episode felt a lot like an ARG. How it references Wifies (both the character and the irl CC) in the thumbnail regarding the series Wifies had made (SFAWTDE/DAWTDE) and how this episode had made server references towards the things Parrot and Wifies had done on the past. And frankly speaking this episode felt like it somewhat parallels the story of SFAWTDE as well. At least to me (or I’m overthinking things)

Parrot and Theo searching for an intelligent person that had went missing while travelling through various abandoned places, all the while having someone or (before we even knew who was following them at the first place) something following them and watching their every move. The traps Parrot had built in an attempt to catch whoever was following him, the various codes spread across their journey, etc. All of this just mirrors the journey of both Avery and Derlord in the story. More specifically, Parrot parallels Derlord, while Theo parallels Avery. Zoe, in this case, parallels Derlord in a sense where she was an intelligent person who went missing, who also ended up dead under the hands of her hunter/enemy. Or at least, consequently. She had starved to death instead of actually dying under the hands of her hunters. Unlike Derlord though, she wasn’t able to meet up with her friend again after being separated. And The King is obviously a parallel to ShoeBilly.

The King, or at least in Wifies’ project, is a being of infinite knowledge. A being related to mental health, and he would bring the end of the world through possessing a vessel. In the story, The King was defeated by Derlord, due to King lacking an innate sense of curiosity due to him already being an entity that knew everything already, and therefore had neglected the fact that Derlord might be able to recite the incantation to begin the possession. In other words, King had underestimated Derlord.

While in this episode, none of the Cartwings duo had to die in order to defeat Billy. Unlike SFAWTDE/DAWTDE, the duo was able to work together in order to defeat Billy. Instead of one having to fool the other in order to sacrifice himself in the place of the other (because there was literally no other way), Cartwings were able to fool Billy into letting his guard down and make their great escape, all the while killing a big part of his crew.

And as to why was there a parallel between Cartwings and Derlord+Avery, a well-known doomed (to-be but cannot be)friendship? Well. Heh. Let’s stop for a bit ok
