Nights had grown restless lately, Ritsuka’s mind plagued with night terrors that left her to whine and writhe throughout her sleep though she’d not recall a thing of them in the morning.  No one could blame her, things as they were.. It would give anyone nightmares. Her condition made worse by the way ichor taint continued to spread from the scar down her abdomen which no doubt had a hand in the way sleep treated her. She had no idea how often he would be left awake after she had drifted off, listening and watching her as if pained beside him even while trying to rest.  His attempt at comfort brings her form to jump before the redhead stills at last, a drawn out sigh finally escaping her.

Ritsuka’s been betrayed by a lot of people ! But it was kind of common place considering her families occupation and what she was doing. Most of them have ended up dead so , no , she doesn’t really speak to them anymore. In Chaldea , it’s not often that someone from within betrays the team. But when they do , they’re often dealt with fairly swiftly. Sometimes they come back as allies ! And at that point she has to let by-gones be by-gones for the sake of survival.

Selena has never really experienced major betrayal. There have been some petty moments between her and other academics on her journey up to Chaldea but otherwise she’s one of the more fortunate muses in that regard.

Tsuki was betrayed by the people she was supposed to be able to trust the most , her family. For the sake of surviving , she forgave and kept silent. But they’re all deceased now , so she can’t speak to them anymore even if she wanted to.

Yvoire , and the rest of the paladins , were betrayed by one of their own. Thankfully he isn’t summonable yet , but she would never want to speak to him if he was. In fact , she would more than likely try to kill him (again) herself , or at least convince the master to see him removed from Chaldea.

Vivianne’s situation is similar to Ritsuka. As a mercenary often employed by the church to take out mages , betrayal during her missions are commonplace and most of the perpetrators meet their end shortly afterwards. She’s learned not to take anything too personally , it’s just business after all.

I/ffrita has experienced such deep betrayal at the hands of many within her home realm of Chaos that it has fundamentally changed her as a person and molded the woman she grew to be. She speaks to none of them and has no want to. That’s why she’s gone so far as to cut herself off from ever being able to return.

Ritsuka has a handful of QP and a saint quartz.

Selena has an extra pen and a packet of mixed seeds that she was offered from the facilities garden.

Tsuki has her apartment keys and a small container of pepper spray.

Yvoire doesn’t really have pockets. She has her sword attached to her hip though.

Vivianne has two peppermints and a take out menu that’s been folded a couple times to fit in her pocket.

I/ffrita has lots of materials in her bag , but currently on hand - Some fishing bait and an apple.

Ritsuka is terrified and has been convinced from a young age that she has no choice but to welcome the terrible things that are coming. She’s long since accepted what’s coming for her , but it’s difficult not to be hopeful when she’s finally escaped the life she thought she could never escape and has people who genuinely . . Seem to care for her. And as comforting as that is , it also terrifies her. It was much easier to live and let die when she knew she didn’t have to worry about anyone else - And no one had to worry about her.

I/ffrita is worried about the future. For a long time she thought she knew exactly what would happen and she was looking forward to finally finding the right place to settle and build a new home with Mikhail in. But , that didn’t happen. The entire plan that they had both agreed to has gone up in flames. They’re stuck in a world they didn’t choose to stay in , Mikhail was missing (and she found him!) But he turned her away and has obviously found his own purpose outside of her , and now she’s . . Alone , confused , and has no idea what to do anymore. The uncertainty of the future scares her and she’s hesitant to welcome it in.

“ Ehe. ” It’s as much of a non-response as ever could be given , but she wasn’t exactly sure what else to say. He was right of course , he usually was , but . .

“ I know , it’s just that ,” Honey colored gaze turns towards her feet as one hand works it’s way into the back of the red mop atop her head , “ Isn’t it better that way ? ”
