could have a whole meta about how while Rayla directly affirms Callum's journey as a mage (specifically in opposition to being a dark mage or powerless) how Callum's plans consistently involve Rayla being given "the job" (1x01, 1x08 in both his and her words) of being an assassin, the final line of defense, the last resort, which is exactly how she was taught to view herself in the first place (just with him balancing it out with "you're a person") and. yeah it's super interesting
