tw: miscarriage, tw: mentions of bloodÂ
A sharp pain. That’s all she felt within the lower part of her stomach. Blood, she watched the blood as it rinsed off of her fingers. Letting the hot water beat down on her Lucy tried to catch her breath. This couldn’t be happening. She didn’t want to believe that it was. This was her baby. This was her and Weston’s baby. She needed to keep their baby safe. Lucy turned her head for a moment, she looked down and saw more blood. Weston. That’s all she wanted right now. She wanted and needed Weston, the love of her life. The father of this baby, their baby.
He wasn’t here though, he wasn’t home. He was undercover. Shit. She should’ve told him, she should’ve told him the minute the stick showed two pink lines. This was all her fault. A deep breath escaped her mouth, another sharp pain had hit her lower stomach. She clutched on and felt more blood on her hands and fingers. She cried out in pain. “Ow.” Was all she could cry, tears starting to stream down her face now. The hot water was still beating on her, this couldn’t be happening. Lucy has never felt this much pain. She was in pain and all she needed was Wes. The blonde slid down the cool tile of the wall in the shower. She clutched onto her growing stomach, and Lucy cried. Tears began to fall down her face. “Ow. Wes..” Was all she could say, but Wes wasn’t here. He wasn’t home. She needed to realize that. “Please… Wes…” Lucy kept calling his name, hoping he’d appear but he didn’t show. She needed to get out of she shower, but that wasn’t happening. Lucy took a deep breath, she held on tightly to her stomach not wanting to let go. The sharp pains hitting her once again, Lucy cried and let the tears stream down her face. This isn’t right. Wes should be here with her.
She waited it out. She let it happen. There was nothing she could do. When it was done, Lucy sat there. She just sat there in the shower, still letting the hot water beat down on her. The young woman couldn’t get up. She couldn’t move. She brought her knees to her chest and cried. Lucy knew what had happened. Lucy knew she miscarried, she saw them a lot while on the job. She was a Surgeon, but this was different. This was her baby. This was her and Weston’s baby. This was her perfect little thing. How come she couldn’t keep him or her safe? It was too early to tell, but Lucy knew and had a feeling that she and Weston were going to welcome a beautiful baby girl. She knew and had a feeling that they were going to welcome a baby girl into this World.
It was done. It was over. She tried to wash the pain away, and all the blood. She tried to take deep breaths. It wasn’t working. She felt like she couldn’t breathe. All Lucy needed and wanted right now was Wes, she tried calling out his name again. “Wes!” She knew he wasn’t home, but she needed him and wanted him. Lucy wanted him to hold her in his arms and tell her that everything was going to be okay, clearly it wasn’t okay. Lucy finally got out of the shower. Wrapping a towel around her, Lucy went into her bedroom and put on a pair of fresh pajamas.
Tears wouldn’t stop streaming down her face, she needed to pull herself together. Taking a couple of deep breaths, the blonde collected herself and swallowed hard. Walking back into the bathroom, Lucy gripped onto the marble counter, and looked at herself in the mirror. Her hair was still wet, and she looked like a mess. Another sharp pain hit her lower stomach “Ow..” She cried out again, grabbing onto her stomach now with one hand. Blood, there was more blood and Lucy turned on the sink. Scrubbing her hands with soap and water, Lucy’s lips quivered.
Lucy took a deep breath, and looked at herself in the mirror. She lost her baby. She lost her and Weston’s baby, their perfect little thing. She couldn’t tell him before, and now she wasn’t going to tell him at all. He didn’t need to know. He didn’t need to know that she couldn’t keep their baby safe. This hurt, this hurt way too much and all Lucy wanted to do was run away.
