she had always tried her best to be a good example and a doting sister to her siblings and loved ones. their mother had always been the shining example of someone she hoped to be. as they grew up she had turned into a bit of a mothering figure herself. she wanted to be kind and thoughtful. not everything had been perfect, but she had tried to learn from her mistakes. hearing those words from her brother hadn't been expected, but were definitely welcome. she reached out to place a hand over his, gently patting it. "dear colin, that does mean a lot to hear. i would like to give most of the credit to our mother though. without her influence i do not know if i would be the woman i am today," she smiled.

daphne had missed her mama and siblings quite often, but on today of all travel days she had missed them quite a lot. her son august had stayed behind with simon, whom had planned to travel down to bridgerton house about a day later. instead, daphne had brought along two other surprises with her. her young daughter and the newest little surprise that had begun growing inside.
