i don’t talk about it on here, but my love for lloyd is deeply rooted in my own experiences in childhood
having your childhood robbed from you because of the expectations of those around you is something deeply soul crushing, being envious of others for living a life you wanted to live too and not understanding the circumstances of your own situation and the weight it holds on one’s future
i see a bit of annoyance lloyd has for his younger self, how rambunctious he is. i think there’s a deep level of hatred lloyd has for himself and his inability to express himself, his identity as the green ninja being the only thing he really has
my headcannon of lloyd being schizophrenic is rooted in this, his experiences so traumatic it crushes his spirit that he lives in a state of fear and delusion while also being oblivious to those around him because of his inability to process what has happened in the past
i think lloyd meeting himself as a slightly older child, seeing what he didn’t get to experience, will be incredible for his character and allow for him to reflect on his choice of using the tea to save his friends. at the end of the day, lloyd is the green ninja, the legendary figure that has to make everything right when there’s wrong, so was there ever another option in the first place ?
idk, i just think there’s lots of potential here and i’m quite emotional about it all
