What is an Occult?
Hello, everyone!
So, silly question--- what is an “occult”?
I remember giving a guy a reading, talking directly to spirits and everything, and he thanked me and said, “I don’t have much experience with the occult.” I just sorta shrugged it off, thinking that he’s mistaken in calling what I do “occult” (as I originally thought it was tied with alchemy...for some reason).
However, recently, my friend (who shares practically identical if not the same faith as me) has started working on learning her own tarot cards. She made a tumblr account and said that she’s studying the “Occult,” so now I’m sitting here very confused. As someone who’s just sorta accepted this as my everyday life to begin with (being psychic and using tarot), I never really put it into a category.
Is...Is what I do related to this “occult?” What’s....What’s an occult, and how is what I do related to it?
