Surprisingly, this isn't the source of irritation it might appear; sure, Hazard tends to knock his head on light fittings and the tops of doors, but that's no different to Broly most of the time. Besides which he is relatively civilized compared to Connors running about raving like a loon.

First inkling is a shadow, or rather an eclipse - a giant moving mountain blotting out the light. She's gotten used to it with Broly, but this time the silhouette is less familiar and she startles a bit before recognising Hazard.

[ 2AM ] - the foyer of a run-down motel during a tumultuous storm. ------------

Thera looked upward though the window, although the lightning had vanished like ... well, lightning, and counted under her breath. One-onethousand-two-onethousand ... she'd just hit 'three' when the thunder followed, rolling like an avalanche and slightly vibrating the leadlight glass.

Yeah, that was coming in right over the top of them. Another bolt arced down, this one right where she was looking as if someone wanted to show off a little. It was entirely possible that they did.

She counted again, the after-image of the light lingering behind her eyes, then turned to cross the hotel foyer. Once opulent, or at least trying to be with high ceilings, thick carpet and everything in tones of brown, burgundy and deep red, it had now fallen into disrepair. No staff to be seen, no guests according to the log book behind the front desk ... in fact, they were lucky the lights were still on.

Thunder sounded overhead, tremor reaching the building itself now, as if offended by her no longer watching. Thera crossed to one of the vintage couches that decorated the lobby, dropped onto it with a sigh.
