{ As a partial answer to the thing you asked ages and ages and ages ago twosiesbeatsonesies about Emma's Sally, (I haven’t forgotten, I promise! Just have too much to say!), one of the biggest changes made for Emma coming into the role - and quite possibly the one that annoys me the most - is Sally’s relationship with Max. Where Michelle (and now Sienna) were/are threatened by Max both verbally and physically, Emma’s Sally plays it all as a big joke. He doesn’t threaten her physically, and she laughs the verbal stuff off as ‘Oh that Max isn’t he silly.’ rather than in any way that is slightly realistic or in keeping with the character. And before anyone tells me that this is just her interpretation, her interpretation is wrong. This is a man who holds her livelihood in the palm of his hand, and that she has - at the very least - put a good deal of effort into sleeping with to keep this job. No amount of 'I'm so happy-go-lucky look at me i'm Sally Bowles!' can change that. Emma isn't playing it subtley, she's not playing it at all.
