Yeaaah about Eret... I don't know how good it would be for them to write accounts about the history of L'Manberg. Because, you see, a lot of time passed. The human memory is sadly faulty, we forget things. Eret could forget writings some things, or miss things entirely because they were not present there when they happened. Not to say, a lot of the things that they would write would come just from them writing them down, so historians wouldn't have evidence to compare (say, if they say they betrayed L'Manberg, historians would have 3 documents to check to see that yes, it is accurate information by the documents written then: the declarations of independence and the anthem).

And even the museum, a lot of the things on display there are sadly replicas. It's true, museums do display replicas of say, fragile things that aren't meant be put on display due to fear of people fucking with the objects (for example in a natural history museum I visit a lot, people touched so much a hippo skull that my dude developed some sort of bone eating stuff that I do not know how to name in English... Don't do that, people. Please lol). But at the same time, the Camarvan is lost, forever. So are the walls, the community house. The books. Hell, even other things that you wouldn't think of are important, are gone.

I also study archaeology so lemme share with y'all a thing: my teachers told me that in archaeology, it's not the gold that is important, or the expensive stuff you may find. Hell, the items don't matter. The information you unearth is. The placement of the items is. Like, one of the exercises we did once was guess who lived in a house, with our only clue being that there were a lot of pottery shards around the house. Or, on a dig my teachers frequent, the most valuable thing unearthed there weren't coins or stuff like that. It was the metal piece of a Roman bed. It showed that those people had beds, from trading with the Romans.

It's little things like this, the unwritten things, that let you see the past, that let you see how the ordinary people lived, that was also lost with Doomsday. No one will dig in L'Manberg and see that there was once a bakery there, by the presence of ovens. No one will unearth apiculture equipment where there was once an apiary. No one will dig to see how the land got blown up on the 16th, and how people still stuck there. No one will find a small, run down, musty room, that once housed a library, while functioning as a sewer.

Because there is nothing left to dig. Items or earth. Even the earth can tell you so many things about how people lived. But no more, in L'Manberg's case. That information is literally now lost to ashes.

So if not Eret, is there anyone you feel should write down the history, if they could ideally? (Which they probably never would.) Would it be better if they worked together to write the history, or no? I’m genuinely curious! :D

But everything you have said is so interesting, especially the last part... That there’s nothing left to dig. Because oof, that hurts
