Holy shitâŚ. Never Again Action (the group who started #JewsAgainstICE) had an ICE detention truck drive through them while they were shutting down Wayne Detention Center in Rhode Island this evening (August 14th).
Like they were holding the line across the entry gate and refusing to let night shift guards in and a massive truck just, fucking, drove up to them then slowed as the protestors got up from where they were sitting, alarmed, then the truck accelerated into people.
It doesnât seem like there are any serious injuries. The people who were around the truck after it stopped accelerating into people were pepper sprayed.
EDIT: Wyatt ICE Detention Center, not Wayne
SOURCE: Never Again Actionâs twitter livestream of the action and the car attack
The truck was driven by an ICE guard.
As this information is publicly available, the law in the US does not consider this doxxing, which is why it was on twitter on the first place. Hereâs the guy.
Its the same people. If you can stomach working for ICE its because youâre a right-wing fascist. Same tactics, different day.
Fun fact, yâall!! Jewish protesters have been surrounding and shutting down ICE detention centers for weeks now, and weâre getting absolutely NO media coverage. None. In the slightest. And by jewish protesters I mean THOUSANDS OF US HAVE BEEN PROTESTING FOR NIGHTS ON END AND OVER 250 HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AT THIS POINT AND WE ARE GETTING ZERO COVERAGE. This is probably the biggest protest movement in american jewish history and itâs getting no coverage. We got hit with a truck DRIVEN BY A DETENTION CENTER GUARD and pepper sprayed and many people ended up in the hospital - one man in his sixties has a broken leg and a potentially broken back because of it. PLEASE REBLOG THIS. THOUSANDS OF YOUR JEWISH SIBLINGS ARE TRYING TO SHUT DOWN THE CENTERS AND WEâRE GETTING ZERO COVERAGE. PLEASE PLEASE SPREAD THIS AROUND.
Never Again Action has been protesting ICE the entire time. Recently they launched a virtual protest against ICEâs vigilante justice program in Chicago. If you want to read more about this program, this is a link to an NPR article (dated 7/10/2020) and a Chicago news article (dated 7/10/2020).Â
Here is the Google Docs with info on this campaign. Basically, the idea is to flood the application website with thoughts, opinions, etc.Â
Please participate in this protest if you can and spread this information to others.Â
Spooky Shopkeeper: The price may be more than you expect to pay.
Me: Yes, I know how US taxes work, too.
Shopkeeper, increasingly exasperated: Iâm trying to tell you that Iâm evil and offering these wares with no regard for the harm they will do!
Me, also increasingly exasperated: I know what capitalism is too goddammit
Tips That Can Save Your Kidâs Life.
THIS IS IMPORTANTÂ
When I was a child, from the time I was about four and could understand things, my mom told me and my brother that we should have a secret word. That way, if we were ever in trouble or felt unsafe and we didnât want the people around us to know we needed her to come get us, we could let her know. So she let us pick the word and my brother and I chose the phrase âpeanut butter cups.â (Iâm happy to share the phrase now since both my brother and I are adults now).Â
I used the phrase twice in my life. Once, I was at a friends house when I eight years old. Her dad got really drunk and was throwing things against the wall. I was really scared and I didnât want to draw attention to myself on the phone when I called my mom to come get me because I didnât know if he would get more violent if I asked her to come get me. So I called her and was calm and after a couple minutes I asked âHey mommy, did you get me those peanut butter cups from the store?â And she said âIâll be right there.â And she came and got me within minutes.Â
Second, I was a teenager spending the night at a friends house. Her brother and dad were drinking and they started talking about things that made me uncomfortable - ie: what they liked to do to women. My friend didnât seem perturbed and said that was normal for them and that I shouldnât worry. But I was worried because they were really drunk and I was 15 and the only âwomanâ around that wasnât related to them. I went in my friends room, told her I needed to call my mom and say goodnight. Before I hung up with her I asked âNext time we go to the store, can we get some peanut butters cups? Iâve been craving them.â And she came and got me, just like that.Â
Two incidents, one as a young child, one years later as a teen. Donât discredit this stuff, it fucking works. My brother used it a few times too. Let your child pick the word and no never, ever, ever, ever get mad at them for using it no matter what it is.Â
DO NOT SCROLL PAST THAT.
Off topic, but very important! I was taught to yell âthis is not my mom/dad.â A young kid freaking out in public is likely to be ignored out of embarrassment, but a kid telling you right out that they donât know who is messing with them? That will turn heads.
Reblog this.đŻđŁđ

We are forced to live in a system that steals from us daily, Kill snitch culture.
Important things to keep in mind!
- never take from âmom and popâ type store. Its likely youâll actually harm them, whereas taking from a walmart wont effect much.
- never take items that a worker is assigned to monitor (usually super expensive items), theyll be in trouble for it. and its usually a minimum wage worker and usually they lose hours or pay, or they even get fired.
- similar to the above, never take things that are usually locked up for the above reason
- if its a store you know gives their near-expiration products to workers/charity, try to avoid taking the near expiration products.
- if youre taking clothing, avoid leaving hangers. it sounds weird, but itll make it seem like it was more likely an error in the computer than a theft, since the empty hanger sitting there will seem suspicious.Â
- also for clothing, try not to take more than one item at once, as it will look suspicious if theres 10 medium shirts missing, and it wonât be written off as just a stocking error. and it will lead to workers being penalized
- basically just always consider âwill this harm a workerâ and if the answer is yes then dont do it
like i was homeless for a while when i was younger and i tried to follow those guidelines to avoid doing harm to people who were probably not much better off than me while trying to get food for myself.
Holy crap, is there like an unspoken thieves code or something?!
itâs a thing. I wonât even lie. I watched someone slip a nursing exam book in their bag at the store I worked at. She made eye contact with me and the blood drained from her face. I simply gave her a sympathetic nod and walked away.
I live in a small town and I knew she was a waitress at a hotel my sister works at, and people at that hotel donât tip well during off season. Nursing exam books are 50+ bucks. Being a med student myself, I didnât even breathe a word, and when inventory came up later and the book was missing, I suggested it was likely a mislabel, and the manager wrote it off.
Sometimes, thievery is a necessity. Donât send people to jail over petty things.
theft for many is survival in this system and taking away from multi-billion dollar companies that are a part of the oppressive capitalist system
I love this post so much. Like, an unbelievable amount.Â
And they say thereâs no honour among thieves.
Thereâs honour among honourable thieves. A thief is still a person, with the capability for good and bad, just like everyone else. The moment someone assumes either good or bad of someone, they perpetuate that belief into reality.Â
Never been a big part of this myself but I approve and shall pass it on
hey so uh
Since the referendum in Russia has approved of Putinâs changes to Constituition, letting him stay in power until 2035, redefining marriage as âunion of man and womanâ and the government literally having talks about banning rainbow and comparing rainbow flags to nazi symbolism, itâs not been great for the LGBT+ community here.
In addition to that, we had the awful âGay Propagandaâ law since 2013 and the number of hate crimes towards LGBT+ Russians has increased greatly since then, and itâs likely to increase even more now.
So maybe consider donating to Russian LGBT Network to help us Russian gays out?
im going to bed for a week
â?????? you fuckign talk to me?????????????????? duh???â

Is it just me, or do none of these ducks seem to have wings?
I think those are Indian runner ducks? Their wings are really small and they canât use them to fly, so they speed-waddle like penguins on steroids! Theyâre supposed to look like this.

okay seriously though
everyone on the internet needs to relearn proper fucking boundaries. You donât make unwarranted sexual comments towards strangers. You do not reach out to strangers out of the blue and interact as though youâve known them for ages. You do not demand strangersâ real names, you donât get to know where they live, you donât ask for ID or photos of their face or body to âproveâ they are who they say they are. (Among other things, this is a massive security risk and Iâm fucking furious that you people seem to think you can demand it.) Just because you follow someone doesnt mean they know you; just because they follow you doesnât mean that either. Draw a line between your mutuals and your mutuals who are your friends because there is a difference. and fucking respect peopleâs boundaries like goddamn
i really wish platonic relationships were more important. iâm tired of losing friendships because iâm less important than their significant other. i hate that iâm automatically not as close to my friends because iâm not the person theyâre dating/sleeping with. and i hate how whenever i complain about it the response is âyouâll find someone too someday!â like no I shouldnât have to âfind someoneâ to feel loved and important, maybe we should stop promoting investing all your time and effort and physical and emotional intimacy into one romantic/sexual partner idk
One of my friends went on a road trip and sent me this
