It was easy for the raven haired girl to feel foolish, usually receiving an odd look or two when she waded too far into the world of make believe. But after years of research in the topic of cryptozoology and forming favorites based solely on how they looked and their lore. But even though she knew Tabitha was only half-listening, Wren wasn’t offended in the least; after all, the other girl had more things to worry about, and that in and of itself made her appreciate her even more. “Yeah, why not? I think it’d be a really good road trip. Just me, my car, and the wide open road ahead of me. And I could make stops along the way and see new things. Did you know there’s a cryptozoology museum in Maine? I would love to go to that.” Most people thought Wren was crazy, that her brain hadn’t matured beyond childhood and that trying to get through to her was like talking to a brick wall, and most days she agreed with them on that opinion. “Well I do like a guy with a good butt,” she chuckled softly, her attention turning back to Tabitha. “That’d be a headline for sure, though. ‘Local Woman Marries Mothman’.”

it’s not that she doesn’t care what wren has to say, it’s the fact she won’t judge her for it. what does it matter she’s dedicated her life to the idea of cryptozoology? if it makes her happy, then it’s not really her place to shit on it, right? plus, she finds it interesting. she enjoys listening to her, even if she’s half there. “you’d have to go all the way up to maine before going back down again, though,” she points out, finishing packing the bowl and setting aside. “but that’s a fun idea, i’d go to that for sure. does it have like bigfoot and shit? champ the lake monster? a beaver shark?” she wonders what exactly makes up a cryptozoology museum. “who doesn’t? i’m definitely a butt kind of girl,” she tells her, and then laughs a little, leaning back on the couch and stretching out. “you’d be like the lady who married the eiffel tower, then divorced it. or the woman who married a ghost-- i think i read that somewhere. i might be making that up. anyways, you definitely would cause some waves.”
