tamera closed up the book that she held and tucked it under her arm and tossed the now empty cup into the closest trash can. she waved her hand, dismissing the apology thrown at her, knowing it was her fault for the collision. “don’t worry about it! that’s what i get for keeping my nose in a book,” she joked. tamera smiled at the other as she took the tide pen that was offered to her. “thank you so much,” she responded. she uncapped the tide pen, scribbling on the stain gently, trying not to ruin the pen. the stain on her top slowly began lightening up, but a small sport remained. she capped the pen and returned the pen to the other, giving her another smile of thankfulness. “oh, this book is so great i read it about twenty times now.”

a knowing smile spread across his lips as the compliments were sent his way . he’d be sure to pass on the message , glancing down with a glint of sheepishness uncharacteristic for a man of such arrogance . extending his greased finger in tabitha’s direction it bounced in agreement , chewing the fry a little more so he wasn’t speaking totally with his mouth full . “ that’s a shout , y’know . i could have my own little kid army before long – if you ever want me to give lucy a lesson just let me know , i’ll leave the swordplay at home just this once but she could really have the knack for it , “ usually he let allie take over the martial arts training but that didn’t mean he wasn’t skilled either , having trained for the last fifteen years purely out of a desire to be the best of the best in , well , everything . he would refrain from disclosing what the sport complex cellar was used for out of hours , but if tabitha knew even half of what fletcher was hiding there was no way she’d leave her alone with her kid for more than a few minutes . he was nice enough , just a little .. otherworldly . “ there’s a difference between starting fights and winning fights , protecting yourself . she doesn’t need to know the offence if she’s good at defense . we can figure something out i’m sure , to fight off all those boys that i ain’t allowing within three feet of her , “

nora had thought long and hard about kids, eespecially because she was getting older too, but she still wasn’t a fan. sometimes it felt like she was still a kid herself and she didn’t have anyone to stettle down with, well there was fletcher but she wasn’t sure were the male stood on that kinda thing, she still wasn’t ready anyway. “i’ve heard about that, it looks sweet. is it any good? everyone’s different i guess” nora replies, as she slips into the booth opposite the other woman, “you could do, soccer’s boring though. get her into something like fencing” a laugh leaves nora’s lips. she wondered what her kid would be like, she knew they’d have a mouth like her, not afraid to stand up for what they believe in, they’d be cute. “totally is” she says with a nod of her head, nora listens and a smile comes across her lips, this kid did sound quite cool, she liked the sound of her, “i mean that’s fine with me, i’m always down to learn new things. frogs? i dig it” she says, when nora was a kid she was quite chatty but for all the wrong reasons, she was very gobby, mouthing off wherever she went. “that’s allowed, you can hype your kid up. they are, i’ll let you in on a secret, they scare me and nothing much scares me”.

The squirming little girl had been keeping Copeland entertained, moreso than the journal in front of her. Her pen was still poised between her fingers, but her eyes were trained on the kid, watching her practically drive her mother bonkers before she was given quarters and sent off to the jukebox. “I’ve always been a look from afar type of person myself when it comes to kids,” the brunette chuckled, finally looking over at the other girl. She seemed rather young to have a child, but if there was one thing Copeland would never judge anyone for, it was being a young parent. “If I had half of the energy she had, I don’t think I’d know what to do with myself. Seriously, I walk up the stairs to my apartment and I’m ready to take a nap. But her? Looks like she could run a full marathon and still want to go for a jog afterwards.” She couldn’t help but shake her head as she laughed, her eyes finding the basket of fries before she wrinkled her nose playfully. “I want to, but my gut is telling me I’ve had too much junk food lately. Thank you, though.”

“Maybe all the sugar consumed?”  He wondered aloud.  So many kids snacks and drinks were just teeming with it, it was almost impossible to avoid.  He let out a soft laugh.  “Something like that.  I didn’t talk for the longest time.  My sister talked for me, and my parents were convinced I was mute for a while.”  He watched Lucy across the diner as well.  “The snacks are the most important part of a meal,” he commented idly.  “Oooh, a red eyed tree frog, huh?  Sounds fun.  I have to work in a couple hours.  So I’m kind of just biding my time before then, making sure I eat before I get lost in the stacks for hours.”

tamera had a busy day planned ahead for herself. of course, it wasn’t a normal day for her if she didn’t grab her usual smoothie from the juice shop and her collection of books in her backpack. she stood off to the side to wait for her order, her nose in a book. her fascination in wanting to know more about the unknown took up all of her focus and energy; so much that it would distract from her everyday life. tamera heard her name get called, catching the girl’s attention. she quietly thanked the person on the other side of the counter and blindly took her drink and attempted to exit the shop. however, just her luck, tamera bumped into someone, causing the smoothie to splatter all over her top and the book she held. the girl grinned to herself slightly, looking at the stain on her shirt. “well, my mom did say these books will get me into trouble one day,” she teased. 

He smiled clasping his hands together, taking a second to watch Lucy before looking up at Tabitha. “Not yet. But let’s be honest, if I do hide a kid, it won'tbe from you. You’ll know the minute I start to freak out over actually having a tiny human.” Xander always wanted to be a dad but was that in the cards for him. Who knew. Though he wasn’t completely kidding. Tabitha would be the firsts to know. There’s that sigh escaping through his lips as he glances over the counter. “Another tourist claimed to have seen an alien incident. We’re the ones that get called to investigate a false claim. I think the town is getting a little bored with the non happenings lately and just people are loving wasting our time.” Though Xander’s tone had an underlying of exasperation, he was actually pretty relieved none of the six claims were actually true. “Spaghetti tacos. Oh, how could I ever say no to that. I’ll bring the good tostadas, the crispy ones. It needs to be experienced in all it’s glory.” Tabitha knew the boy loved to eat. “I’ll even bring down the snickerdoodle cookies for a certain little princess. It has less sugar than you’d think it has. Not making last time’s mistake. When are you off?”

Tommy had gone a long time without having doing laundry he didn’t know how everything got this bad but he officially ran out of clothes to wear. Everything he was holding in his basket and even the shirt he was wearing was absolutely trashed by sweat, drinks from work at the bar or bong water. So he went over to the laundry mat shoving everything he owned in the washer before smelling his own shirt and instantly exhaling the smell. Fuck. He thought before even shoving that in the washer. “Sorry.” He said to the person also using the washing machines. “All my clothes are trashed and I have work in like an hour.”
