I could see for sure that all the cool standout moments were choreographed for Twitch. Hayley's only focal point moment was when she let her hair down and is that going to earn her votes? No.

It's always a shame when dancers end up at the bottom, not for poor dancing but because they were given an underwhelming routine.

I understand that choreographers love All-Stars and want to show them off like new toys (when they're actually old toys). But they're not the ones competing! They're not the ones that need to win America over! Debbie stated that Twitch took her eyes away from Hayley. That's definitely a mistake on Chris Scott's part.

At least when they used to be partnered with a contestant, no matter who got what move it was beneficial to their success on the show. The rules have changed, and now the All-Star (aka 1/2) of the performance shouldn't be the centerpiece. If you're going to give them something cool to do, at least give the contestant something interesting at the same time. Lauren & Twitch's routine by NappyTabs was a better example of utilizing both All-Star and the contestants talent.

Actually from rewatching it, it seemed to me that Hayley did better than Twitch in parts that were supposed to be synchronized. Like around 1:27 Twitch had one hand up and one hand down, which looked sloppier than what Hayley was doing. And when they first busted out together, Hayley had a bit more oomf to her moves. She added like some head movements & maybe because she's smaller her body movement was more noticeable. She really took to the dance with good enthusiasm, but it's a shame the praise went straight to Twitch.

This week overall was underwhelming for me! The judges kept giving standing ovations, which really defeated the purpose of them. What really bothered me about this week was how little originality the routines really had in concept. None of them stood out to me, all of them felt reminiscent of things we've seen before. I can see why the judges were enthused by the technical merit of things, but I didn't connect with any of it.

Honestly, I think All-Stars are amazing and great but I'm actually not all that interested in seeing them dance. I think some of them like Melanie, definitely upped the standard. Yet, it can be kinda annoying when they're the ones made the focal point of a dance. Aaron is a terrific partner, but it's a shame when I end up watching Kathryn way more than him. Paul & Fikshun commanded almost as much attention as their partner, but Hayley and Tucker were slightly overshadowed by their counterparts. I don't think it's cause they lack ability, but because the dance was better catered for the All-Star instead of them.

It also bothers me how long individual criticisms are now and how they direct some of it to the All-Star. I find it slightly unnecessary, because it's all the same praise anyway. "You're an All-Star, aka you're obviously amazing."

Now, my thoughts on Makenzie and Nico. It was really Nico's time to go, which is sad because he was a lot of people's favorite. He's had worse routines than the rest of the remaining guys and the judges don't seem to care for him anymore. I can't believe Nigel said that we've seen them do solos enough times, when the last time we've seen Nico do a solo was actually his audition. I think it was rude and arrogant not to give him another chance to prove himself. If he were saved, dancing for his life could lead people to vote for him for the upcoming week. The judges robbed him of that.

Makenzie. She doesn't get a lot of votes, but based off Tumblr I feel people have a lot of love for her. She's had one of the most outgoing personalities on this season, and it's a shame to see her go. She's gorgeous and a terrific technical dancer. I would've wanted to see her stay over Jenna.
