“Yellow was a very important color for this record. When you are in the world of Trench, it’s very wild, very green; earthy. And a lot of these tones… You would want to try to wear [them] to avoid being captured, you know? Just to blend in, right? But then, at the same time, you want to be allowed to communicate with those who you want to know, hear  — your comrades, the people who are there with you. The yellow color  — the assets of yellow  — is how that’s communicated in Trench, because the Bishops who are after you at that point… Aren’t able to see the color yellow.” 

She wishes she could kiss her cheek,

“Love is love” she’s spent so long screaming,

Why don’t they listen? Why don’t they hear?

Innocent love, they’re intertwined,

Like two stars separated by sky;

Never too close, never too far,

Just a love, a passion burning in their hearts.

Don’t tell them to stay away,

Don’t tell them to stay apart,

This love is the purest

because it comes from the heart.

Why can they not have this love-

So pure and so true?

Why them? When no such rule applies to you?

Why can’t she kiss her in the rain?

Why can’t she hold her on the train?

Why do they have to endure this pain?

Why? What do we gain?

They’re pulled apart, time and again,

Why these unnecessary restraints?

Why these cruel heartless constraints?

Why? Can someone explain?
