so we know that he/him pronouns are associated with god; closeness to him, to heaven, to the council. we also know how easy it is for someone to lose the right to he/him pronouns if they fail or step out of line; when gabriel fails to kill v1, the council immediately starts referring to him with it/its. lucifer was cast out of heaven when she questioned the existence of hell and whether sinners deserved eternal punishment. while this may have been a moment of weakness on god's part, it does not change the fact that he did this. if gabriel is an it after being defeated, then surely lucifer is an it after being thrown out of heaven.

i specifically argue for she/her lucifer because i think she would spurn god and heaven after what they did to her. gabriel, god's will, learns over the course of the story to act on his own desires; similarly, lucifer, god's kindness, learns to be angry and resentful of the mistreatment of herself and hell and sinners. she sympathizes with hell (you can probably tell i am also a massive hell/lucifer advocate; god's forsaken children finding what heaven never gave them in each other) and despises heaven. to claim she/her pronouns, the "opposite" of what is holy, is to reclaim herself and her own identity and show her rejection of the people who discarded her. she is not what god wanted her to be; she is herself. and yes this makes her transgender <3
