— doing his eyeliner while sitting on his lap
including. xiao, neuvillette, zhongli
genre. fluff, gn! reader, slightly suggestive
— xiao
"hey, you're shaking xiao, i can't focus."
"tzzz, i'm not," xiao rasps— ugh, you're just so pretty, you know? with a faint dusting of light clinging to your eyes, delicate yet indifferent, as if the universe itself had carelessly bestowed it upon you. he believes there was something unsettling in your gentleness, a quiet radiance that seemed to exist beyond the confines of this world— beyond reason, beyond him.
his hands grip around your waist like you might disappear if he ever dared to let go of you as his ears were dusted a telltale red, to be fair, xiao cannot keep his hands of you, and in his opinion it should always be like this, never too far from each other— forever as he snuggles himself a little closer towards you.
you shift slightly, adjusting your position on his lap as he tenses like a tightly wound wire, his thighs firm beneath you, muscles twitching as if resisting the urge to latch onto you with his soft lips.
you bite back a smile, dipping the tip of the pencil against his lower lash line as his breath shudders, yet this wasn't fear, don't misread xiao for his reaction, it was not from discomfort— just something inside of him reacting almost fragile, tenderly beautiful yet he didn't quite know how to name such emotions.
I can’t help but think that a small part of Neytiri’s animosity towards Ronal is possibly rooted in jealousy. That’s definitely not the main cause, as Neytiri was initially very respectful towards her, but only became more hostile once Ronal berated her and most importantly her children, shamed her husband, and almost refused to allow sanctuary to her family. But I also think it’s possible, probably in a minimal and unconscious way, that Neytiri is to some level jealous of her. Think about it: Neytiri and Ronal are very similar, they’re both incredibly fierce and proud women who are extremely protective of their families and clans, they’re both deeply spiritual and intensely connected to their lands, Ronal to the ocean and Neytiri to the forest. Neytiri was set to become tsahìk, the role Ronal has in her own clan.
I believe that, in a way, Ronal reminds Neytiri of everything she’s lost, everything she was forced to abandon, everything she was supposed to be, but couldn’t. Neytiri was stripped of her status, her community, her home, forced to become a refugee in a completely new environment in which she now has to watch another woman be her mirror, and have everything that was taken away not only from her, but from her family too. Neytiri has to live every day with the pain of knowing her children’s childhood and life was torn apart by war, while Ronal’s kids are strangers to the horrors of oppression, as they should be, and they have the safe home and the rda-free life her own children were denied. Tonowari is a highly respected chief and can protect and take care of his people as he should, while Jake was forced to be stripped of his status and to run away and hide in shame. And the most heartbreaking parallel, of course: Ronal is about to give birth to her new child soon after Neytiri’s first son died.
I’m obviously not implying that Neytiri resents Ronal or the other Metkayina, but rather that she feels bittersweet about the situation. I just think this is a realistic and interesting perspective on what her feelings must be.

neytiri’s possible jealousy of ronal and tonowari’s unitedness
following up this post, i think another reason why neytiri could be jealous of ronal is that she and tonowari are—publicly and privately—unified in a way neytiri and jake aren’t.
tonowari always listens to, respects and takes into consideration ronal’s perspective, something jake often does not do. in public, ronal and tonowari always present themselves as a united couple, as equal partners that lead and make decisions together, because that is what they do. even if they disagree, they never speak against each other, but rather communicate subtly to find common ground. their ability to be so deeply in tune with each other is clearly a reflection of their private dynamic and is founded on the profound respect they have for each other.
but with jeytiri, most of the times it’s jake’s way or no way at all. even privately, neytiri’s opinions are often dismissed by jake and barely considered as actually valid options, even if they eventually turn out to be right. publicly, while neytiri desires to and tries to be one with jake, he shows no problem disrespecting and silencing her in front of everyone.
this is why imo neytiri said she doesn’t want to speak against him in front of ronal, because she doesn’t want to give her the satisfaction of seeing how “disconnected” she and jake are in this. i think that line came from a place of insecurity, maybe even hurt for neytiri, who wants her and her husband to be united, who knows they could be—and already are in many other ways—if only he listened to her and truly treated her point of view with respect like tonowari does with ronal.

WRONG TO WANT YOU
words: 3.3k
summary: tonowari knew it was wrong to want you. you were his son's partner, so young. and yet he couldn't help but yearn for someone so untouchable.
contents: fem!sullyreader x tonowari, reader x ao'nung, agegap, reader is 21, cheating, yearning, angst, alcohol, more yearning, manipulation (more to come mwahaha),
notes: okay IT IS HERE thankyou sm to @dollzstrology and @itskekeelise for being such amazing people and inspiring to rewrite this fic. this is a rewrite of my old series but that version was dogshit lol. and i cant waste a good plot.
The reef shimmered beneath the glow of bioluminescent vines and woven lanterns. Drums echoed throughout the village, their rhythm blending with laughter and the soft hum of waves falling against the shore. The scent of roasted akula drifted through the celebration. It was thick, smoky and victorious. The meat roasting in deep sandpits covered with thick green leaves.
It had been a long time since the Metkayina had celebrated without looking towards the horizon. War had found a way of lingering, even in peace.
Yet tonight, there was joy.
Children weaved between parents, shrieking as they chased each other. Elders sat in small circles, cups in their hands, the scent of alcohol lingering on their breath. Warriors boasted as they walked around the roast, telling extravagant stories to those who hadn’t been fast enough to escape.
And right in the centre of it all stood Tonowari.
Tall and broad, a soft grin resting on his face.
His proud gaze swept over the clan, but he still could not let himself go into celebration. Even in the most joyous moments he still watched the horizon, his leadership ingrained into the fibre of his being.
A chief did not simply rest because the drums were played.
But as his gaze swept over his people, it settled on you.
Can you make a next part for ronal and tonowari's adopted human child? Thank you very much. I really love your ideas and how you write your fics
The Word That Healed the Reef
(ronal&tonowari × you)
Story: During the war, ronal was in labor and she lost her child, when she gave birth her child was already cold — and she enter into depression, but she found and tonowari a human infant (you) and they took as their own ((part 2))
Part1
Note: thank you for the request I'm glad you like it!
Btw this story may take a dark turn in the future parts
___________________________________________
Life in the reef slowly began to breathe again.
In the beginning, no one truly knew what to do with a human infant. The clan had raised children their entire lives, but never one so small, so different. Your fingers were shorter, your skin softer, and your tiny body lacked the natural strength of a Na’vi child.
But none of that mattered to Ronal.
From the first moment she carried you home, something inside her heart had shifted. The emptiness left behind by the child she had lost did not disappear, but it softened, as if the sharp edges of that grief had been wrapped in something warm.
And that warmth was you.
Ronal held you often. Far more than anyone expected.
During the quiet mornings when the tide pulled gently against the village platforms, she would sit with you resting against her chest, humming soft songs that the Tsahìk mothers of the reef had sung for generations. Her voice moved slowly, deep and steady, the vibrations of it traveling through her chest and into your small body.
You always seemed calmer when she sang.
Sometimes you would fall asleep before the song even ended, your tiny hand gripping the edge of the necklace that hung across her chest.
In the beginning, Ronal had been uncertain about feeding you.
A human child was different. Smaller. More fragile.
One evening she had spoken quietly to her mate while holding you carefully in her arms.
“Human children… they drink milk, do they not?” she asked.
Beside her, Tonowari watched you with thoughtful eyes.
“That is what the sky people say,” he replied.
Ronal looked down at you, worry creasing her brow.
“But I do not know if my milk is right for her.”
Tonowari’s gaze softened as he looked between you and Ronal.
“You are a mother,” he said simply. “Your body knows what to do.”
For a moment Ronal hesitated.
Then slowly she adjusted the cloth wrapped around you and brought you closer.
You were quiet for a moment, blinking slowly as if trying to understand what was happening.
Then instinct took over.
The moment you latched and began to drink, Ronal’s entire body stilled.
Her breath caught.
You were so small against her, your tiny hand pressing weakly against her skin while you drank with quiet determination.
Tonowari saw the moment her eyes filled with tears.
“She is hungry,” Ronal whispered softly.
“Yes,” Tonowari said gently.
From that day forward, feeding you became part of Ronal’s life as naturally as breathing.
And you thrived.
You began to gain warmth in your cheeks, your tiny body growing stronger each passing week. You learned the rhythm of Ronal’s voice, the steady beat of her heart, and the warmth of her arms.
To you, she was the center of the world.
Which meant you did not like being separated from her.
Tonowari discovered this quickly.
One afternoon Ronal had stepped away to speak with the healers, leaving you in Tonowari’s careful arms.
At first you simply stared up at him, your wide human eyes blinking slowly as if studying this very tall, very unfamiliar face.
Tonowari watched you with quiet curiosity.
“You have strong lungs,” he murmured softly.
You blinked again.
Then your lip trembled.
And suddenly—
You cried.
Not a quiet fuss.
A full, desperate cry that echoed across the platform.
Tonowari immediately adjusted his hold, rocking you gently.
“It is alright,” he said calmly. “You are safe.”
But the moment stretched longer.
Your cries only grew louder.
Across the platform Ronal turned instantly.
She walked back quickly and reached for you.
The second you felt her warmth again, your crying stopped almost immediately.
Ronal held you close, gently rubbing your back as you sniffled softly against her chest.
Tonowari watched the entire exchange with quiet amusement.
“You see?” Ronal said, though her voice carried a hint of pride. “She knows her mother.”
Tonowari stepped closer, placing a gentle hand on your tiny back.
“Yes,” he agreed.
His voice was warm.
“She does.”
Time passed like the slow movement of the tide.
You grew stronger. More alert.
Your eyes followed Ronal constantly now, watching her every movement as she spoke to others or prepared food or simply sat beside the water with you resting against her chest.
And Ronal spoke to you often.
Much more than she realized.
She would whisper small things while holding you.
Stories about the reef.
About the ocean.
About the spirits of the water and the life beneath the waves.
But most often she spoke your name and the little nickname she had given you.
“Sweet girl.”
She said it softly.
Often.
And you seemed to love the sound of it.
One quiet night, the moon hung low over the reef, painting silver light across the water. Most of the clan had already gone to sleep, the village platforms quiet except for the soft sound of waves below.
Ronal sat near the edge of the platform with you in her arms.
You were awake, staring up at her with wide curious eyes.
Tonowari stood nearby, finishing a quiet conversation with another warrior before turning back toward his family.
Ronal gently touched your cheek.
“You listen so carefully,” she murmured.
Your tiny fingers wrapped clumsily around one of her braids.
Ronal smiled faintly.
Then she spoke slowly.
“Mama.”
You blinked.
Your eyes stayed locked on her face.
Ronal repeated it gently.
“Mama.”
Tonowari stepped closer, watching with quiet curiosity.
Ronal tilted her head slightly, smiling softly.
“Mama,” she said again.
For a moment you simply stared at her.
Your tiny mouth moved slightly as if trying to copy the shape of the word.
Then—
“M… ma…”
Ronal froze.
Your eyes brightened as if proud of the sound you had made.
Then you said it again.
“Mama.”
The world seemed to stop.
Ronal’s breath caught in her throat.
Tonowari saw the moment her eyes filled with tears.
She pulled you gently against her chest, holding you tightly as if afraid you might vanish.
“You hear her?” she whispered, her voice trembling.
Tonowari stepped closer, resting his hand gently against Ronal’s shoulder.
“Yes,” he said softly.
His gaze moved down to you.
And though he rarely showed his emotions openly, something warm moved through his chest.
“She knows her mother.”
Ronal pressed a kiss softly against your small forehead.
And for the first time since the day she lost her child—
Her heart finally felt whole again.

just wanna mention for every fandom.
Start reblogging. Reblog.
Why are you not re-blogging? You think the fandom is dead, that no one’s interacting anymore, no one’s doing anything, no one’s writing, no one’s posting. ‘Everyone was so hyperfixed on that character, Where is the writing?’
People are writing. People aren’t reblogging. People aren’t giving some good feedback to motivate the writers that are putting their hard work, time, effort into making this piece that you were reading.
‘oh, it’s just too much work. You don’t wanna click that button and then click a few tags.’ Then you’re gonna have to suffer and not see a lot of writing from a lot of people because the only way this fucking app works is if you reblog.
I see so many pieces of work with 59 likes and 1 blog, I just saw one that had 690 likes and it had 9 reblogs. Even 1,000 likes and only 59 reblogs too. It’s devastating to see for the community of Tumblr. And I’ve been here for like five years, the way this app works is if you re-blog.
There’s so many people that are writing. There’s so many amazing things that I see and I try my best to reblog every single one that I read. That’s what I love doing because sharing someone’s piece of work is just beautiful because it allows me to show it to more people.
I reblog. And the beauty of it is;
I get notifications that this person liked it and this person liked it, and then that post continues to get more views, more likes and reblogs. All just because one person, reblogged it.
so please, if you are a part of Tumblr and you love reading your favorite writers fics, or love reading about your favorite character, please do your job and reblog it.
And if you don’t like re-blogging because you don’t want to do that on your account, then you can make another account and put all of the things that you read on that account. You can do separate things, like fic recs.
You can figure it the fuck out if you want people to actually be writing for a character you love. The writers are writing, you ain’t helping them share their work.
Reblog. It ain’t hard.

KNOWLEDGE
its Prom night rn… I am not enjoying myself one bit. I’m so overstimulated and my head is pounding.
I’m sitting at a table full of female juniors with humors that I cannot vibe with, and my assigned partner is nowhere to be found despite the gentlemen’s rule being “be a gentleman” and “never leave your partners alone”.
They just served food but the thing is, it’s a buffet. meaning— we have to get our own food by ourselves. I see my fellow ladies being assisted and escorted by their partners and ai cant help but feel so frustrated because I got paired with such an immature senior “gentleman”.
My close friends are tables away and are sitting with our other friends, chatting, complimenting each-other, and are genuinely enjoying the night. then there’s me, frown on my face, barely no interaction with anyone, and miserable as fuck.
MY DRESS is so fucking itchy, I wish females were given the option to go in suits, but no! this school is homophobic as fuck. ugh.
I’m so lonely, help. send kind words, I beg😞

Dating Quaritch means that he will refuse to lose his muscle mass and strength. You will catch him in the early morning working out, eventually he will try to recreate his own personal weights and equipment.
Dating Quaritch means that when he hunts he won’t share his catch with another person but you and if you choose to have any, kids.
Dating Quaritch means that there won’t be a moment that his eyes will ever leave you. It’s not that he doesn’t trust you but it’s the fact that he rebelled for you. Left everything for you. You are everything to him. And he looks at you like you are, though many assume his hardened stare is cold you know it’s just his resting bitch face.
Dating Quaritch means that in the early stages of his assimilation into the clan you’d both wake up in the odd hours of the night. Quaritch retains his marine instincts, due to this he would wake up often to sounds outside of your hammock. When he’d leave to check it out you’d wake up due to the lack of his warmth. Both of you spending countless hours looking at the sky.
Dating Quaritch means that he challenges anyone he thought was being too ‘chummy’ with you. (He still is trying to get behind the friendliness of Na’vi culture.
Dating Quaritch means every few weeks you create a routine of cutting his hair as he refuses to let it grow long and unkempt.
Dating Quaritch means that you’ll often be met with playful taps on your ass as he passes you, giving a playful flick of your kuru or tail.
Dating Quaritch means you have to put up with his constant mischievous behaviour that purposefully pushes your buttons as he can’t get enough of when you’re trying to rip his head off out of frustration.
Dating Quaritch means that you’ll often now permanently live in concern for your heart pressure.
Dating Quaritch means that you’ll often now need to teach a stubborn man child a new language at a painfully slow pace. Although he is trying to learn, his southern accent still makes him sound so distinct.
Dating Quaritch means that he will make sure that you can protect yourself given whatever circumstances you may be experiencing. Even going as far as to make escape plans if been be for the future.
Dating Quaritch means having his utter devotion and dangerous tendencies at your every beck and call. You were the one that made him revolt again all he ever knew and he made sure that you knew it.
Miles Quaritch is the kind of man that no matter what, through thick and thin, through arguments and lows, he will always be there for you. Ready to support you, ready to let you lean on him when you need him
Miles Quaritch who never questions your strength and independence, but is there in the blink of an eye ready to help you hold that weight the moment it becomes too much to bear.
Miles Quaritch who may not be lovey dovey, but he rather has a presence of that of a pillar. Strong, sturdy and reliable and for some, all consuming.
Although he may never admit it, but that man is completely and utterly whipped for you. Following you like a shadow in this life and the next until the end of time.
(Note: To my readers of Gravitational,
I hope this finds you and that this is a sufficient offering for the lack of the next chapter that I haven’t posted.
