âI just donât know what to do.â Daisy sat cross legged on the cool grass, her feet underneath her thighs and a bottle of fruity, cheap wine in one hand, a pink crazy straw bobbing up and down in it. âHe just keeps showing up to all our family events even though we havenât dated in like a year.â She took a sip, long and drawn out through the curls in the straw. â I canât get rid of him. Heâs like an Adam Sandler movie. No one wants to see them but he just keeps making them.â
Pushing her aviators up onto the bridge of her nose again, Sydney laid back and let her sun-kissed skin soak up more of the midday rays. It wasnât hitting California peaks, but it was still warm enough to catch a tan and break out her cute shorts. A crack sounded as she popped the cap off her beer, tipping it back and draining some of the glass bottle contents. âHave you told him to fuck off yet? Cause Iâll do it. I knew that guy was weird - he eats pineapple on pizza. Why, why, why does he think itâs normal to show up to your familyâs shindigs? This is why you should never relationship. Ever.â She couldnât wrap her head around how someone could believe that was normal behaviour. âOkay, his new ones? Garbage. 50 First Dates? Masterpiece.â
