...musicians don’t usually set their ticket prices, stop blaming her. It’s the promoter and the venue, factoring in the cost to play the arena + Taylors guarantee, plus whatever profits to be made as its a BUSINESS. Taylor needs to pay her dancers, sound crew, lighting team, catering, tour manager, etc etc. Other musicians/openers are paid as well. It also depends on the arena/stadium size, which obviously our girl isn’t playing 500 seat places. Ticketmaster has to make $$ as well so if you’re buying tickets and want to save $, buy directly from the box office.
I also heard that Taylor donates $1 to charity from every ticket sale, so let’s be honest that’s probably factored into the ticket price as well but who honestly knows.
I know this and I'm not saying the tickets should be dirt cheap, they should just be accessible for less well off fans. I'm not specifically blaming her, but I'm not going to sit back and say she has absolutely no say in this stuff whilst everyone praises her for being an excellent businesswoman. We know she is involved in other business aspects of her career, so I don't think she should be held entirely unaccountable for the way poorer fans miss out on so much (chances to see her live, buy merch, meet her) just so that the millionaires can get even more profit
