Then there's me

At first they think that maybe someone mistakenly put it in their pack or that maybe it's something that got mixed in the laundry, it's happened before. Then as they look through the pack they realize that the pack isn't theirs....it's So'lek's, and the fact is reinforced when Tamtey checks the outside of said pack.

Tamtey and So'lek strangely enough have similar looking packs at the base level that is, similar color, material, and similar patterns; however because of who they are their packs are decorated differently, or so they thought, because clearly somewhere along the last leg of their trip Tamtey got his pack.

Tamtey's first instinct is to throw everything back and try not to be mortified at the fact that they've unintentionally but essentially snooped through So'lek's things but as they do start to pack everything back up the little voice of curiosity starts to whisper.

"Would the chest piece fit? How would they look? Is it comfortable?"

Imagine So'lek walking in on Tamtey with his chest plate on, looking at themselves in a mirror only to see him in the reflection and being absolutely mortified. They try to hide it by crossing their arms, it doesn't work, and even try to get him to look away by throwing something at them, it's Tamtey's own top which makes them blush even worse when So'lek holds it up.

Imagine So'lek being like a shit older brother and teasing Tamtey that he's going to tell Ri'nela or Rasi that they snooped through his things just to hear them panic and try stop him.

I also think that So'lek gets somewhat overstimulated during the Great Games because of the amount of people around and all the bs with Harding there wouldn't be much time for him to meditate like he normally would, so after things calm down she take So'lek to the sights in the area so he has a more private place to meditate and reflect.

When they go back home she tells him about the areas where the other monuments are so he can also find them and have more places where he can meditate.

Then after the events of the Spires she asks Rasi to teach her and the other how to make them so they can build some of their own. People can tell who built which monument because they all have their own style and like to incorporate the things they like so each monument reflects the builder a little.

After the Mangkwan and Rda are chased off again the Sarentu come together and rebuild the burned sites but this time they incorporate parts of the burned ones as well at bits and pieces of the clans, they use the memory painting to not only give others a place to get inspiration but also as a way to tell a part of their story during that time.

I also think that as they rebuild Tamtey takes inspiration from the Trr'ong reflection mats and re-does the sitting area. When she's asked as to why she simply says.

"Because the Trr'ong are a part of us just like the others, this clan is one that welcomes all and we will show that with pride."

I think that after that she and the others join So'lek at the spots and meditate with him or do their own thing as he meditate. Just the same he will join them too and do the same.

Sometimes they won't even do that they'll just sit and talk or enjoy the scenery, sometimes it's all as a group or one on one.

Just picture a scenario where the group and some allies are trapped in an rda base they thought was empty or in one where the info was wrong and its more heavily guarded. They're cornered in a room, are out of arrows, and they have wounded as they search the find a case with weapons made for the rda avatars and as much as they hate it they know its their last option.

Imagine these four na'vi methodically moving through the halls of an rda base like a well oiled tactical machine clearing out rooms and picking off rda soldiers with such clean precision it'd make Quarich jealous. They cover Teylan as he hacks doors, Ri'nela and Tamtey giving Nor cover fire as he rips open mechs, or Ri'nela using military hand signals to give orders to the others even as the rda fires at them, or imagine Tamtey silently moving through the ducts to flank them before they even realize they're missing or snipe them from higher vantage points.

When they split up it's just as bad, they end up dog piling on mechs, shooting grenade boxes and fuel tanks, silently taking out soldiers with just their hands. Not a single bullet is wasted, they don't fire constantly at one target but fire in short quick burst; they know how many bullets it takes to take out a human and that's all they need.

And the thing is that they hate every second of it. They're being forced to use the very weapons they were forced as children to learn, so any chance of mercy against the rda is out the window, they're whole mentality is "you pushed us to this now you reap the consequences."

Imagine So'lek reflecting on his meditation mat when he barely catches the rapid patter of Tamtey's feet before she's essentially tackles him. He's stunned, a little worried and his sight is taken up by the chunky leg of his first born and his ears are filled with his mates excitement.

"Look, ma So'lek, look!!" She keeps saying before changing tones to coo at their baby.

He's rightfully confused as he taken his mate and infant in his arms and sits back up.

"Ma muntxate, what's wrong are they hurt are you hurt?" He's already taking the little one from her arms making sure to check her over first since their baby isn't crying and there's no blood but his worry is met with an inpatient hiss from Tamtey as she again urges him to look at their baby.

It takes him a while and honestly it takes Tamtey gently maneuvering said baby around in his arms to get what she's so excitedly talking about. There on their babies chunky little thigh is the smallest dot it's almost unnoticeable and before he can stop himself he's already turning to his mate and saying.

"That is just their tanhi." Tamtey's reaction is to pull at his ear it's a quick movement and as many mother's would says justified it also earns her high pitched giggle from their baby.

"I know what my baby's tanhi looks like, I birthed them." She pouts and shows him the leg again, "He didn't have it last week and Kin said that they are around the age that their stripes come in."

So'lek looks closer at his baby's leg and then proceeds to do all over check and he ends up finding more little dots every single one he shows to Tamtey who gets even more excited cooing at them and making them laugh. By the end of it as happy as she is Tamtey ends up crying a bit because she's realizing that her baby is growing up and even he sheds a few tears which ends up with her holding their baby and So'lek holding them both baby none the wiser of their parents feelings.

The next day however Their showing the dots off to their clan and friends who all coo and praise their baby for growing and even Nor tells them to grow into cool stripes which is a hit an miss because the dots do grow into stripes they're just currently all over and look like a patchwork baby.

He realizes it on the first night they are brought to Hq but it's solidified when Tamtey is sent to the Aranahe and Nor is the one awake.

So'lek tries to make him got to sleep, when Nor explains to the warrior that he's waiting for them, saying that Tamtey won't be back until the next day or the day after, they continue like that for a few hours almost getting into an argument until said Sarentu emerges from the shadows clearly running on fumes by what they can see.

He's surprised but doesn't say anything, he just watches as Nor checks them over making sure they've eaten that they aren't hurt too bad, then he's herding them into the alcove they've claimed giving them just enough time to greet and wish So'lek a goodnight.

When he asks Alma why they do that she does her that nervous little laugh and quickly explains that it's just how they grew up sleeping, sharing a sleeping space and hearing how na'vi are commonal sleepers before they have mates had them believing that their version was what what they had meant.

Of course So'lek isn't a fool and knows she's not telling the truth but it's not until a few weeks later when he has a moment to ask Ri'nela privately that the real reason comes out.

Imagine when he learns that after Aha'ri's death Mercer and his goons had taken Tamtey in the dead of night, the kids waking too late to stop them, for a days Tamtey was gone even missing classes and training. When they finally returned their clan mate they were quiet and dead eyed, for months they had horrible nightmares and whenever someone tried to take them or one of the other's Tamtey would basically go feral, fighting the soldiers until they had to sedate them.

Throw in the abuse each one had gone through they had started to sleep together learning that when they did the nightmares weren't so bad and that Mercer and his goons where less likely to take them, its more risky wake a pack of na'vi kids then to pull them from class where Alma was the buffer.

When Ri'nela is done and he's had time to digest what she's revealed he simply thanks her and goes off on his own, one so he can reflect on how to help the group find comfort in sleeping separately and two so he doesn't rip into Alma metaphorically and physically.

Imagins he slowly starts to help them sleep separately or in smaller groups as Tamtey is gone most of the time and he refuses to let them neglect themselves because of that. He also refuses to allow the humans to help especially Alma.

After sometime the group starts to grow comfortable gradually accepting that the Hq wasn't like TAP that there no one would hurt them or steal them away at night, to point that they start having their own spots to sleep and nap around base.

But that's just the trio, Tamtey is a whole other issue because where Ri'nela, Nor, and Teylan are around hq where So'lek is too and he can more easily help them, Tamtey is rarely there and if word from the Aranahe is accurate he knows they go long periods before sleeping.

When they do he's told that they either go into a hunters sleep, where they wake easily, or they are plagued by nightmares that on more than one occasion has made them cry out and inadvertently brought predators to them.

So, imagine So'lek deciding that if he can't help Tamtey properly when they visit hq then he'll help them when they are out in the forest.

So'lek finding Tamtey up in a Stairfoot tree shoved up into a nook, their bow ready as he gets near. It's clear to see that they haven't slept in a while. They still smile at him to his dismay.

Imagine So'lek helping Tamtey get used to sleeping on their own now either at the na'vi camps or out in the woods. Being the one on watch so they can finally get sleep.

Waking them when they get really bad nightmares, listening as they finally open up about what the dreams are about. He holds his anger back but it burns at their injustice.

Imagine that on really bad nights he holds Tamtey as they shake because of the nightmares sometimes even sleeping next to them. Waking in the mornings to his arm numb and Tamtey koala'd onto him.

Then as time goes by and Tamtey is sleeping more on their own their nightmares less then before imagine him realizing that now he's the one that needs to get used to sleeping on his own.

Imagine So'lek unintentionally pavloving himself to sleeping better when Tamtey is around then when he's alone.

Sosul

Who bathes his babies in zakru milk, swearing that it makes their skin stronger and softer, that it cures any and every rash.

Who takes them with him to tune the flutes, enough so that they can tell when one, and which one has gone out of tune by the time they can walk.

Sosul who "catches" them when they "steal" the cheese he makes, playfully telling them that their grandfather Kin will make them into cheese wheels.

Taking them on trips to the Zakru graveyard, telling them stories of those who have passed like Pasuk. Showing them the murals of how their people first followed the great beasts. Teaching his children that the graveyard is a place of peace.

Nesim

Who paints her babies like little warriors, matching their colors to hers so all know who they are. Never denying them when they ask to paint her in return, wearing their little handprints with pride.

Who teaches them how to fight dance the moment they can walk, cheering as they bop up and down and do their little kicks. When they topple she gently urges them to stand again.

Nesim who laughs and encourages their hisses and "roars" when they hear the Cloaked Leopards who pass by their camps and home.

Who teaches them to shoot their spears from their ikran and direhorses with such accuracy and speed that they can do it with their eyes closed, only using their mounts senses to "see".

Minang

Minang who walks with her children amongst the Pali herds, showing them to be gentle with the creatures. On rough nights when they can't sleep she rides with her babies along river edges and the fields of flowers, lulling her babies to sleep.

Who gives her children the Zakru's favorite paints letting them paint the great beasts to their hearts content. Listening to them chatter about their day nodding every now and again as if agreeing with something when the animal would make a noise.

Minang who when the time comes patiently explains to them their tradition of letting their burdens go, holding them and comforting them as they say goodbye to their old things.
