Dark Universe Frankensteins the absolute most family of all time. Victoria lets her 3 year old son use heavy weaponry and get into fistfights. Ygor has beef with the 3 year old. They go on family vacations and take the exact same photo where they look utterly miserable because they're the most goth people on earth yet went to a bunch of beaches for some reason. Ygor talks to anyone who will listen about how she won't leave his stuff alone and "her stupid face" and then blows kisses to her through the sewer grate. She won't let Ygor have health insurance but does anything to keep him alive. The Creature doesn't even have a name but he loves his mom maker enough to willingly get huge electric shocks all the time because she asks him to. And they all drink straight whiskey together.

surreal is very tactile. constantly touching the walls, the pillars, the skeletons decorating their palace. fidgeting when their hands are empty. reaching for their tormented souls, their queens. their hands are always moving, always reaching for something.

sinister? not at all. i think over the course of the run i saw them touch something other than their scepter and the truss railing like twice. even using the clawed hand so they aren’t making full contact, they don’t touch anything that isn’t immediately on their person.

with one singular exception. surreal.

they very clearly have opposite associations with physical contact; sinister associating pain with touch, and surreal, pain with the lack of it. two sides of the same coin if you really wanna go in on dropping that metaphor lol.

there is nobody else in sinister’s entire domain that they give that trust to because there is no one whose hands they would put their life in but their other half.
