Sitting here listening to the Sounds Like a Cult podcast on 'The Cult of Fanfiction' on YouTube and it's so weird to hear so much about fandom that is... almost right or even totally off from what my experience is/opinions are.

And, obviously, yes, it's such a massive community, but it's also so weird to hear reference to the argument "should there be slash fanfic" and I'm here writing m/m fic without any thought to protest.
