Why is it that the Salmonids get to be totally defined by their "live deliciously, desire to be eaten" culture, but the other species don't?

We spent several games learning that Octarians aren't all hyper-militaristic nuts with a bone to pick with Inkopolis. We got to meet a whole bunch of Octolings who are totally different from that.

And Inklings, who get described as slackers and clout obsessed, can be shown to not be the case with the likes of the agents and the musicians?

WHY IS SWITCH 2 HACKING AND EMULATION TAKING SO LONG COMPARED TO SWITCH 1 HACKING AND EMULATION

the answer is pretty simply this:

the switch 1 used a processor known as the tegra x1, this is a processor already used by nvidia and already had years of hacking and documenting and reverse engineering done to it. when the switch released we where able to use this documentation to make the 'fusee-gelee' exploit

so it took us nearly no time at all to hack the switch. donezo.

the switch 2 on the other hand? uses a completely proprietary chip (Tegra T239) that we're starting from SCRATCH from. not only that, but nintendo learned from their mistakes with the switch 1 and have fundamentally patched a ton of vulnerability's we used with the switch 1. including tons of countermeasures on hardware to prevent hardware exploits and modchip's too. we know very little about how it works internally too, with that internal knowledge from already hacked switch's being how we'tjave continued to develop switch exploits

nintendo has REALLY done their homework on the switch 2 and without a huge drive to emulate it (like, for example, the ps5 with the recent debacles) (also not saying there's NO drive to emulate it, its just the drive is NORMAL for a console) and also without any sort of hacks that are useful at all for the end user right now. just things that can be used for research.

the switch 2 is a SPECTACULARLY well secured console on a fundamental level and i do not expect we'll get any real progress anytime soon.

i estimate that we'll get like, if we're VERY VERY lucky, 5 years, but more realistically? (not pessimistically, just realistically) probably a decade, maybe 15 years, before we hack it.

thats not to mention that in order to emulate it, first we'll need to hack the switch 2 effectively to one of (if not THE) lowest level possible, and then after that we'll not only need to learn exactly how the switch 2's cpu works and how the switch 2 decrypt's its rom's and loads things into memory and EVERYTHING like that, but we'll also have to use some REALLY beefy hardware in order to emulate it too!
