Remus Lupin, who is the drummer to the record breaking rock band the Marauders. Yet, despite how talented he is, he's always overshadowed by his other bandmates.
Sirius Black, the loud, charismatic and handsome guitarist.
Peter Pettigrew, the quiet, shy and cute keyboard.
James Potter, the friendly, boisterous and devastatingly hot lead singer.
And he's just ... Remus. Quiet, easily forgettable. Average looking, with burn scars lining his face and arms. He's just ... the drummer. The one who keeps the beat, the one that keeps the group in time. So vital, yet so easily over looked.
After three years of being at the top, yet still and the bottom, Remus has had enough. He knows it isn't his bandmates fault, but he can't help feeling a little envious. And his solution? Releasing his own album. But there's one little problem. Sure, he can play the drums, the guitar and even the keyboard, but ... he can't sing.
So he spends his nights quietly singing to himself as the rest of the Marauders get shit-faced.
And the more he practises, the more he realises, he can't do it himself. And his pride prevents him from asking his friends for help.
Then, enters Regulus Black.
The brother of the Marauders own guitarist. The lead singer of the up rising band the Skittles. Undeniably beautiful, all striking grey eyes, silky black curls and a voice to rival a siren's.
To say Remus wasn't interested was like saying the sky wasn't blue. And on a whim, Remus proposes a deal to Regulus when they meet at an awards ceremony.
Teach Remus how to sing, and Regulus will receive every single embarrassing photo and video of Sirius Black in the drummers growing blackmail folder.
How could Regulus refuse with his brother's dignity on the line?
So they spend countless night singing, with Regulus teaching Remus everything he needed to know about using one's voice.
And after months, Remus is finally ready.
Ready to step out of his band's shadows.
But, as he writes, song after song, he realises that something is missing. Something irreplaceable.
When he sings, sure, it's good, but it feel empty. Not like when he sung with Regulus.
On a whim, he proposes another deal to Regulus. Make an album with him. And Regulus will get half the profits. Which, probably would have happened anyway, so perhaps it wasn't much of a deal. Regardless, Regulus still accepted.
Endless days of writing, recording and finally, the day is upon them.
The release of one of the most anticipated albums, Drowning Moon. And as soon as it's released, something changes.
Remus keeps finding reasons to text Regulus, and Regulus keeps finding reasons to call Remus.
And at the next awards, when their albums wins 'Album of the Year', Remus can't help but kissing Regulus. Sure, it was on a whim, but Regulus kissed him back.
And soon enough, they are the talk of the music industry. Remus and Regulus, award winning artists. Couple of the year.
